Swimming pool for the summerIt feels so nice after a long winter to startthinking about our summer backyard, someof you already started on making plans onhome improvements. Some are also makingthe decision to add a new aboveground poolto their backyard. If so, congratulations!

If you are buying an aboveground pool,you, your family & friends will enjoy coun-tless hours of fun, games & exercise thisswim season, and for years to come. Inorder to help you select the abovegroundswimming pool that will be perfect for yourfamily, your backyard & your budget, we'dlike to offer a few planning suggestions -things to consider as you shop. If you haveany questions about the information below,please feel free to contact your abovegroundpool experts for professional.

Budget

Aboveground swimming pools are a greatvalue, and can be significantly less expen-sive than an inground pool of the same size.It's still important however, to have a budgetin mind as you shop. Consider not only thecost of the swimming pool itself, but alsothe products you'll need in order to startswimming and enjoying your new pool -and then shop within that budget. In addi-tion to the swimming pool, you will need avinyl liner, a pump & filter system, a skim-mer and a way to enter and exit your pool -either a ladder or set of steps.

Yard Space

The next thing to consider after budget isthe amount of available space in yourbackyard for a new aboveground pool.Make sure that the pool you choose is ap-propriately sized in relation to the overallyard - including landscaping, existingdecking, driveway, fencing and other per-manent features or obstructions. Considerthe specific location within your yard foryour pool too... don't make a hasty decision,plan it out so your pool is convenient andeasy to use. Go out to your backyard with ameasuring tape and either stakes & string orspray paint - measure out the pool dimen-sions and mark the area where you'd like theswimming pool to be located.

Style & Shape

In addition to the amount of yard space yournew aboveground pool will take up, youshould also think about how you and yourfamily will use your new pool. For exam-ple, is a 48" side wall sufficient for yourneeds, or should you consider an extra-deep54" style? Are your swimmers experiencedor novice? Will they mainly splash & jump(in which case a round pool might be suffi-cient) or do you intend to use the pool forwater games or exercise (in which case anoval shape might be preferred). Will yournew pool attach to a deck or platform, or befree-standing? This will impact the type ofstyle of ladder and/or steps you will need.

Power Source

Your swimming pool will require access toelectricity, to power the pump & filter sys-tem, plus lighting and other optional equip-ment you may want to include. Werecommend you run a new, dedicated 110Velectrical line for your pool, and trench itunderground (add the cost of this to yourpool budget in these cases). This is also agreat time to consider whether your poolwill (either now or in the future) include aheater or heat pump. Warmer water will notonly extend the length of your swim season,but will also let you enjoy more nighttimeswims too. Heaters and heat pumps are ty-pically powered by propane or natural gas,but there are also units available that run onelectricity or heating oil.

Pool Water

You'll need to think about where the waterwill come from that you use to fill ourswimming pool. In most locations, you cansimply use your existing water supply andfill the pool using a standard garden hose.If your pool is located in a remote area (inrelation to the hose), if you have well wateror simply do not want to use "tap water" tofill your pool, you can contract with a watersupply company to truck in water for yourpool.

Verify all municipality requirements beforeyou select and install your new above-ground pool. A little advance planningcould save you from having to re-install afinished aboveground pool.

One thing I’ve noticedabout the spring season is the increasingnumber of beautiful bundles of joy. Fam-ilies and their loved ones are either an-nouncing the birth of their babies or areoverjoyed to announce their pregnancies.Whether you are 12 weeks or 30 weeksalong, it is never too late to give ouryoung ones the best care possible. Theseason of spring cleaning is the perfecttime to start better caring for our bodiesand our health (and that of our babiestoo). Pre-natal massage therapy is a safe,effective form of healthcare that helps toimprove quality of life for both motherand baby.

What is pre-natal massage therapy?

This form of therapy was named “pre-natal massage” because the treatment fo-cuses on symptoms caused by pregnancy.Many of the techniques that are used dur-ing a pregnancy massage are also used ina Swedish or therapeutic treatment.

Pre-natal massage therapy aims to relaxmuscle tension and improve circulationthrough light to mild pressures applied tovarious soft tissues of the body. This isthe recommended method for treatmentbecause it addresses many of the commondiscomforts and hormonal changes asso-ciated with the body during pregnancy.

What can pre-natal massagehelp with?

An increased load on the back and hipsoften causes spinal deviations and pos-tural deformities which will result in ten-sion and pain in the neck, lower back,hips and feet. The increase in pressureoften causes surrounding tissues tospasm, swell and compress nearbynerves. For example, sciatic nerve pain iscommon in the later stages of pregnancybecause the uterus rests on the pelvicfloor muscles. Massage therapy is effec-tive in decreasing musculoskeletal pain,inflammation and nerve compression.

Swelling and fluid retention is due to anincreased demand on the cardiovascularsystem to supply blood and lymphatic flu-ids to both the mother and baby. Hyper-tension causes smaller blood andlymphatic vessels to collapse and fail toproperly exchange body fluids. This oftenhappens in the extremities because theywithstand the most pressure and evenmore commonly in the lower limbs dueto gravity.

Pre-natal massage therapy is also effec-tive in encouraging a healthy labour byeasing muscular and connective tissue re-strictions in the lower back and hips. Itenhances the function of muscles andjoints by relaxing tension and lengthen-ing restricted muscles, ligaments or ten-dons.

To summarize; the benefits of massagetherapy can include but do not limit them-selves to:

• Aids in stress management• Encourages hormone balance and

mood regulation• Decreases anxiety and pre/post

partum depression• Decreases pain and stiffness of

Ascended Masters, unlike Angels, are

Saints) is an Ascended Master, who

works very closely with Archangel

Michael to protect, guide and bring

courage to those along their path on

Earth. Many years ago, I had the great

honour of being visited by Saint Ger-

main on Mt. Shasta when he gifted to

me his 'Violet Flame'. He is the one

who has come forward to deliver this

weeks' message to you:

I am asking humans to remember that

you are not your body. You have a

body. But you are not your body. This

is an important distinction to have.

Remember your true immortal iden-

tity. Remember that, you are of God.

You are a spark of God sent into phys-

ical form. It is from this 'spark' that

you have your being. The spark re-

sides with the body, but it is not the

body. This spark is your immortal “I

AM” presence.

Remember your “I Am” immortal

presence. It is from here, where all

good comes. It is here where all joy,

all prosperity all of life comes.

Begin each day remembering WHO

YOU ARE. The source from whence

you came. For when you remember

WHO YOU ARE, you will remember

that there is nothing that you cannot

be, or cannot have. You are born of

the Creator, therefore you too, are

Creator. As Creator, you have already

commanded everything into existence

that you have in your life today.

Is it everything that you want? If not,

be mindful of what you command. Be

mindful of your speech, of your

thoughts, as these are all commands.

Say to yourself each morning, “I

AM”. As you wish, fill in the rest, if

you are feeling you are missing some-

thing in your Earthly experience then

it is up to you to remember to mani-

fest it, as you have the power to do so.

If you are lonely, pull in Love. If you

are angry, pull in Peace. If you are

sad, pull in Joy. If you are weak, pull

in Strength. Pull it into your being by

your command, “I AM.”

Command yourself, as the Creator

that you are, “I AM LOVE.” Or, “I

AM PATIENCE.” Or, “I AM ABUN-

DANCE.” Or, “I AM HEALTH.” Or,

“I AM LIGHT.” Or “I AM HAPPI-

NESS.” Or, “I AM FULLFILLING

MY PURPOSE.” Or, “I AM SUC-

CESSFUL.” Or, whatever you wish.

Command your I AM presence every

day of your life. Because, how you

live, move and have your being each

moment of each of your days is up to

you, Creator.

Will you remember who you are? It is

your free-will choice. BE WHO YOU

ARE.
