- ใชกบเหตการณทเกดและจบลงไปแลวในอดต

- ในบางคร งจะม Adverb of time ทบงบอกเวลาวาเหตการณนนเกดไปแลวใน

อดต เชน yesterday , last night , last week , last month , last year ,

in 1999 , ago etc.

- ใชกบเหตการณทก าลงด าเนนอยอยางตอเนองขณะนนในอดต

- ในบางครง Past Continuous Tense จะควบคไปกบ Past Simple

Tense โดยเหตการณทก าลงด าเนนอยอยางตอเนองจะใช Past continuous

Tense สวนเหตการณทเกดขนมาแทรกทหลงจะใช Past Simple Tense

สวนถาสองเหตการณนนด าเนนไปพรอมกน (โดยเนนความตอเนอง) ในอดต

จะใช Past Continuous Tense ท งค

• While I was watching the football match, I had a headache.

• She was cooking in the kitchen when her son come in.
