SO... HOW DO I VOTE?

The council will send you a polling card. It tells you when and where you have to go to vote.

Put an X on the ballot paper next to the name of the person you want to vote for. Fold the paper and put it into the clearly marked ballot box.

When you get to the polling station someone will give you a ballot paper. This is a list of all the people that you can vote for.

If you cannot get to the polling station, you can apply to vote by post. This is called a postal vote.

You can also arrange for someone to vote on your behalf. This is called voting by proxy.
