Children’s Ministry

“I am a child of God” and “We are God’s family.”

Vacation Bible School 2018

June 2nd

at Eastminster

9:30 a.m.-6 p.m.

We will have a morning session, lunch, an afternoon session,

a closing celebration and a cookout dinner! We will need

many volunteers and are so excited about sharing in ministry

with friends from other churches in our area!

There are many ways you can help, so please see

Joan Jones to volunteer. Registration forms are available on

the table in the commons area.

WE NEED YOU- can you volunteer to help set up for lunch and

help serve pizza and drinks? Would you help provide cookies

and popsicles for snack? Would you be in the kitchen during the

day to help our guests know where to find things? Could you help

set up and serve dinner? Would you like to be a greeter for the

day? Would you like to help lead a group of children from

activity to activity? Would you like to help by donating supplies

for the day, etc.? Please see Joan Jones to volunteer. It will be a

day filled with blessings!

Eastminster Presbyterian Church

Each Sunday morning, worship bags are available for our children. The bags

contain an activity sheet to help them follow along in the service and write or

draw about their favorite parts of the service. There are also coloring sheets and

puzzles or word searches that are based on the daily scripture readings as well as

crayons and pencils for them to use! We hope these will help our children

participate in worship and allow them to worship with their EPC family.

We love having them with us!

VBS Mission Project

We will be creating

welcome home baskets for families moving into

Habitat for Humanity homes. Please consider donating kitchen towels,

extension cords, command strips, outlet covers and any other items that would say

Welcome Home!

EPC Nursery and Childcare Help Needed Did you know that our youngest children are not only being

loved and cared for by the most amazing staff but are also

learning a bible story each Sunday morning? We are so thankful

to Dawn, Sandra, Riley and our amazing volunteers for loving

Pentecost Gifts for the Church

As we celebrate Pentecost on May 20th

,

we are reminded of the many ministries

that make up the larger church. Consider giving a special

offering to one of the following funds on Pentecost Sunday or

any time in May (or throughout the year).

Children’s Ministries Fund supports Children’s ministries beyond the annual

budget, such as Vacation Bible School.

Communications Fund helps to pay for banners and signs as well as mailings.

Dan Hughs Fund for Adult Education Ministries and Congregational Care.

The Dan Hughs fund is instrumental in providing quality Adult Education at

Eastminster, including special speakers and programs.

Debt Reduction Fund helps to pay down our mortgage.

GAIHN has its own fund separate from outreach to assist in the weekly expenses

of hosting families.

Liturgical Art Fund supports worship needs such as candles, paraments, banners,

flowers, communion supplies, palms, and more.

Music Program Fund supports the music ministry beyond the annual budget.

A Sunday anthem can cost around $50 for sheet music and the rights to

use the song. Network 6:2 Fund is used to support Congregational Care,

emergency needs for church members or community.

Property and Grounds Fund is set aside for emergency maintenance as

well as ongoing property needs.

Youth Ministries Fund supports Youth ministries

beyond the annual budget, such as Montreat and

mission opportunities.
