Listen to the explosive spout of a humpback whale as it breaks

the surface of a clear blue ocean. See the comical ight of a

full-bellied pufn as it attempts to get airborne. Smell the salty

landwash where the sea touches North Americas eastern-most

land and where First Light really is rst.

With camera in hand we will take you to the heart of the most

easterly corner of North America, still largely undiscovered by

the vast majority of travelers. This is a tour for photographers

of all levels, their companions and the artistically-minded.

Your particular needs and interests are addressed in a multi-

dimensional tour that mixes group instruction, experiential

learning and one-on-one coaching in the midst of cultural and

ecological wonders. Presentations are interactive, inspiringand informative; the hikes are lled with vistas and natural

beauty that invite hours of artistic contemplation; th

    home-cooked meals and accommodations celebra

of Newfoundland hospitality. We will amble through

historic communities like Brigus, Cupids and Trinity

gannets, pufns and whales closer than almost an

earth; hike trails that take us along towering cliffs, tgentle meadows and explore Newfoundlands fam

    beaches.

Your guides have deep roots here and will open do

photography, we head outdoors in the afternoon to explore

and practice the lessons of the day while indulging in the

scenic splendour of this undiscovered gem.

PLEASE NOTE:This is our intended itinerary.

Wildlife sightings and some activities depend on favourable conditions. As with all of our adventures, weather, sea and road conditions are a

determining factor and will dictate our itinerary.

    Day 6

In store for us today is one of the worlds most spectacular

wildlife experiences Cape St. Marys Seabird Sanctuary.

The Cape is North Americas second largest and most

accessible gannet colony. We sit atop cliffs as thousands of

these magnicent birds sail above and below us, and the airis lled with the drone of their chatter.

    Day 7

We begin the day with a quiet walk through Salmonier

Nature Park, a marvellous environmental education and

wildlife rehabilitation centre. See and photograph

of the animals that are otherwise difcult to see i

dense woodlands. Native wildlife species are ma

in spacious natural enclosures along one of the

boardwalk trails in Canada. Then it is on to the S

Shore where we take to the water in search of wBulls and Witless Bay. Here lies one of the world

gathering places of whales and seabirds drawn e

    the abundant food supply.
