In recent days I have been remembering the past fourteen years of East Coast Men’s Bible Conferences. Through the years I have heard so many comments like, “I was saved at the conference” and “God put my home back together as a result of the conference.” Other comments such as “Real revival came to our church when our men got home from the conference” and “God spoke to my heart at the conference” have been spoken many times. The fifteenth annual East Coast Men’s Bible Conference takes place March 11-12, 2016 at Englewood Baptist Church in Rocky Mount, NC. There is going to be great preaching and singing and God will definitely come and meet with us.

DR. BOB PITMAN DR. KEN WHITTENDr. Ken Whitten accepted the call as Senior Pastor of exciting Idlewild Baptist Church, Tampa, Florida in October 1989. Idlewild currently has a membership of over 9,000, with active Bible Fellowship attendance over 4,000. Under Pastor Whitten’s leadership, the Idlewild family moved into their new 143 acre campus in northwest Hillsborough County, in October of 2005. The seven year planning and building project for Idlewild’s 440,000 square foot Phase I buildings on this new campus are now a reality. Although many things have changed as a result of this dynamic growth at Idlewild, one thing that has not changed is Pastor Whitten has led this church in his passion to reach people for Jesus. It is obvious that God’s hand is on this Pastor and this church. Ken Whitten is married to the former Ginette (Ginny) Vincent; they have four children and three grandchildren.

DR. ROBERT SMITH, JR.Dr. Robert Smith, Jr. serves as Charles T. Carter Baptist Chair of Divinity, Beeson Divinity School where he teaches Christian Preaching. An ordained Baptist minister, he served as pastor of the New Mission Missionary Baptist Church in Cincinnati, Ohio for twenty years. He earned his Ph.D. while serving as pastor. He is a contributing editor for a study of Christian ministry in the African American church, Preparing for Christian Ministry, and co-editor of A Mighty Long Journey. He has spoken at more than 100 universities, colleges, and seminaries in the United States and around the world. He and his wife, Dr. Wanda Taylor-Smith, Ph.D., are the parents of four adult children (one in heaven).

I do not know of any spiritual experience that is as encouraging to a man as to be in the same room with over 1,500 other men of all ages, from over 150 different churches, different personalities and cultures-all singing, praying, and giving glory to the same Jesus Christ! DAVID MILLERDavid Miller has been preaching for 50 years. He pastored for five years before serving as Director of Missions for Little Red River Baptist Association, Arkansas, a position he held for 25 years. An itinerant preacher, David has been in full-time evangelism since 1995. He served on the Board of Trustees of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, for eight years. David suffers from a degenerative muscular disease called peroneal muscular atrophy. However, he remains one of the most powerful preachers today from his wheel chair. It has been said about David Miller that although he is forced to sit down in his wheel chair to preach these days, he still stands head and shoulders above most present day preachers. He currently prefers the title “Country Preacher-at-Large.”
