License Agreement EaseUS Todo Backup Central Management Console is licensed for one machine

installation only. Anyone may use its trial version to manage two computers for

evaluation, buy full version or activate the trial version to manage more computers.

The trial version of EaseUS Todo Backup Central Management Console may be freely

distributed, if the distribution package is not modified. No person or company may

charge a fee for the distribution of EaseUS Todo Backup Central Management Console

Installing and using EaseUS Todo Backup Central Management Console signifies

acceptance of these terms and conditions of the license. If you do not agree with the

terms of this license you must remove EaseUS Todo Backup Central Management

Console files from your storage devices and cease to use the product.


About EaseUS Todo Backup Central Management Console EaseUS Todo Backup Central Management Console (CMC) is a control and

management remote console that allows the user to create, delete and run

backup policies or backup jobs on the computers that have been installed

EaseUS Todo Backup clients in a LAN.


Installing EaseUS Todo Backup Central Management Console

System Requirements Supported Operating Systems: Windows 2000 SP4, Windows XP, Windows

Vista, Windows Server 2003/2008, Windows 7, Windows 8 Consumer Preview

and Windows Server 8 Beta.

Minimum Require Configuration: X86 or compatible CPU with main frequency

500 MHz, a standard PC system with mouse, keyboard, color monitor,

and 1GB RAM, CD-R/RW, DVD-R/RW,DVD+R/RW or DVD+R DL drive for

bootable media creation.

Installation Step 1: Click the installer executable to run the installer wizard, the installer will

let you walk through the whole process.


Step 2: Accept End-User License Agreement and click Next.

Step 3: Select installation directory and click Next.


Step 4: Create a desktop icon and click Next.

Step 5: The installer starts to install, this may take a few minutes, please wait.


Step 6: Click Finish to complete the installation


Installing EaseUS Todo Backup client

System Requirements Supported Operating Systems: Windows 2000 SP4, Windows XP, Windows

Vista, Windows Server 2003/2008, Windows 7, Windows 8 Consumer Preview

and Windows 8 Server Beta. Minimum Require Configuration: X86 or compatible CPU with main frequency

500 MHz, a standard PC system with mouse, keyboard, color monitor,

and 1GB RAM, CD-R/RW, DVD-R/RW,DVD+R/RW or DVD+R DL drive for

bootable media creation.

Installation

Step 1: Run installer and click Next


Step 2: Accept End-User License Agreement and click Next.


Tips: If you tick off "Create a built-in account for centralized management", this means you

allows EaseUS Central Management to remote control and manage your computer with

EaseUS Todo clients installed.

After the installation, if you want to avoid being managed by EaseUS Todo Backup

Central Management Console, follow the steps below:

Right click My Computer, select Manage -> Local Users and Groups -> Users,

right click ETB User, select Delete.


Step 3: Select installation directory and click Next. And then wait to finish the installation.

The main interface of EaseUS Todo Backup Central Management Console as follow:


Activate EaseUS Todo Backup Central Management Console

The default, EaseUS Todo Backup Central Management Console can manage 2

computers for trial evaluation. To manage more computers, you need to

activate the trial version or upgrade the license.

Activate the trial version

Click Import license File and pop up the following window:


Click Browse to locate the license key and click OK to complete the activation.

Upgrade the license

After you purchase a license upgrade and download the license key, then follow the

procedure above to Import license file


Backup policies

Backup policies in the CMC are where backup jobs and schedules are defined. A backup

job is tied to a schedule and all the settings that go along with it. They can either be

applied to a specific agent or several agents.

Create backup policy

1. Click + sign on the left side of the main interface and the following window appear.

Input backup name and description. Select backup source through three modes: Category Mode,

Disk Mode and Custom Mode.


Category Mode applies to backup files or folders. There are two types: System

default and user-defined.

Using user-defined, you can select backup files via file type. For example, backup all

word documents (*.doc).


Add file type(s) as follow:


Disk Mode applies to backup partitions: System partitions, non-system partitions and

removable partitions.

Custom Mode applies to backup files or partitions by user custom


2. Click Schedule to set backup schedule.


Daily

Set some specified time point(s) or regular time interval(s) to

perform the plan every day. And there are two different ways in

Daily setting.

Time - execute the plan at specific time. Click Add to create new

time point, maximum 5 time points. Click the X mark to remove

them.

Interval - set start time, finish time and interval time for the plan. For

example, if you set the start time at 6:00 am, finish time at 10:00 am,

and interval time is 2 hours, then the task will be executed three

times at 6:00 am, 8:00 am and 10:00 am.

You can specify the plan to run as a full backup, incremental backup or differential


backup. Weekly Run the plan at specified time of each week. Weekly - specify the day(s) of a week to run the plan. Time settings - set the time point in specific day(s) to execute the schedule. You can specify the plan to run as a full backup, incremental backup or differential backup. Monthly

Run the plan on specific days every month. The plan can be set based on

date or week. Start - choose exact day(s) of a month to run backup task. Every - set weekly schedule. For example, run backup task on the first

Monday of each month.

You are also required to set an exact time point on chosen day(s) to execute

the schedule. You can specify the plan to run as a full backup, incremental

backup or differential backup. Upon event

Execute the plan based on some system events including system startup,

system shutdown, user log on or user log off. System startup - the plan executes as the system start up. System shutdown - the plan executes as the system shut down (Currently

this option is not available for Windows Vista/7/2008 R2).

User log on - the plan executes when the user who creates the schedule


log on.

User log off - the plan executes when the user who creates the schedule

log off.

Once a day only - only the first system event will trigger the plan

execution on that day.

Start date - set a date that the plan comes into effect. You can specify the plan to run as a full backup, incremental backup or differential

backup.

Besides, if you miss some schedule points due to power failure, computer

power off or other reasons, our product will still automatically execute the

last missed schedule after computer resumes with the option If computer is

shutdown, run missed backup at system startup checked.


3. Click Backup options to set compression, priority, etc.

4. Set destination location to store backup. Click Save to complete backup policy.

Custom: input path to store backup, for example: D:\ Tips: The path must exist in every client if the created backup policy applies to

several clients. If it is network location, you must specify access right by

inputting password and username.

Delete old image files

For a long-term plan which will perform backup frequently, it will be very

space-consuming with all images reserved. It's troublesome to delete

previous image files manually at a regular time to release disk space, and it

might cause some unexpected troubles. We provide two kinds of automatic

existing images cleanup rules to help users solve this problem.


Preserve no more than X version(s):

Backup version is the result of one backup operation. Physically, it may be

one single file or a set of files when you specify image split for this operation.

A backup version can be also considered as a copy of the backed up data.

After specifying this attribute to a schedule, our product will automatically

create full images at regular intervals. After the full image created, our

product will detect all previous images, and ensure the recent X versions'

images can be recovered, then delete all the images which have exceeded the

limitation.

This method applies to the schedules which need to be executed in a

higher frequency. It will be much easier to manage the old images based

on versions rather than days in this situation.

Preserve backup images of the last X day(s):

Specifying X days to preserve images, our product will still create full images

at regular intervals, and then delete all the images which have exceeded the

time limit with this rules adopted.

Tips: The day(s) which have no image file generated will be not included in the

preserved days.

Preserve the first image: Click ON to preserve the first image or click off to

delete it according to the mechanism.


Delete backup policy In the backup policy list, select the backup policy you want to delete and click Delete

Tips: This method can only delete created backup policy on the local. If you want to

delete deployed backup policy on the clients, you need to undeploy it.


Deploy backup policy In the left policy list, select the backup policy you want to deploy, switch to Deploy tab,

select the computer you want to deploy backup policy to and click Deploy.

After deploying successfully, the status will show deployed, the specified backup

policy will run on the deployed clients on specified time.


Undeploy backup policy

Select the deployed computers and then click Undeploy button to cancel the backup

policy.

After undeploying successfully, the status will show undeployed, the deployed

backup policy has been cancelled on the clients, it will not be run.


Remote management and control for EaseUS Todo Backup Clients Besides deploying backup jobs to machines with installations of EaseUS Todo Backup

clients, the remote connection in EaseUS Todo Backup Central Management Console

allows users to connect other computers with EaseUS Todo Backup clients (EaseUS Todo

Backup Free excluded) in order to create and modify backup jobs and perform recovery

in due time.

Computers with EaseUS Todo Backup clients (EaseUS Todo Backup Free excluded) can be

controlled and managed by remote computer with the installation of EaseUS Todo

Backup Central Management Console.


Connect the remote computer to manage:

Open the program --> Click Computer list

Under Computer list, machines with the installations of EaseUS Todo Backup clients in a

LAN will be listed out.


2. Choose the one you want to manage through EaseUS Central Management Console

and then click this icon . Enter the Username and password of the computer with

EaseUS Todo Backup client.


3. Then you will successfully connect to another computer, (here named Michelle-pc).

You can make backup jobs or perform recovery as you like.
