EARTHBAG CONSTRUCTION

• Earthbag construction is an inexpensive method to create structures which are both strong and can be quickly built.

• Natural building technique.

•  eco-friendly style• Low cost

MATERIALS

• Sturdy sacks, filled with inorganic material usually available on site.

• Sandbag structures with sand fills are an alternative technology and require very different construction details.

WALLS

• Walls can be curved or straight, domed with earth or topped with conventional roofs.

PROPERTIES

• Perfect insulation due to the sandbag covering.

• Do not catch fire easily.

• They are strong and can protect the residents from rain, high winds, and the sun.

• Earthbag homes actually cut the heat and humidity

• This is what makes these homes cool in the summers and warm in the winters. This is what gives the earthbag homes a stable and firm structure and helps it withstand natural calamities better.

FINISHING

• To prevent damage to the bags from UV rays or moisture, it is necessary to cover the exposed outer surfaces of the bags

• Material to use, including cement-based stucco, or lime or earthen plaster,mix of sand and clay.
