Earth Day Scavenger Hunt-
Freebie!!
The Busy Class
Directions:
1. Print Scavenger Hunt. Laminate if you want to reuse each year and discuss with your class how this will save paper.
2. Allow students to work in teams of 2 or 3. Younger students may need an adult with them.
3. Provide students with a camera (iPad, iPod Touch, iPhone…) or pencil to record locations of flowers and types of animals (dry-erase marker if you laminated the paper).
4. Provide students with crayon for leaf rubbings and extra paper. Other Earth Day Ideas:
• Collect twigs. Use hot glue to make a frame out of them. Students can color a picture or put a photograph inside.
• Make posters to hang around school reminding others to not litter, or recycle cans and plastic bottles.
• Have students bring in empty cans and then decorate to use as pencil/pen holders and have students distribute to other teachers around school or take home as gifts for Mother’s Day.
• Have students bring in bottle caps (soda, milk, orange juice bottles, etc) and use them to decorate a piece of cardboard to create a picture frame. Or use them as game pieces.
I hope you enjoy using this freebie. Please leave feedback on my TpT store and check out my other Earth Day products.
