APPLICATION PROCESS1. Students Contact School Counselor.   Application Checklist-The

counselor will begin collecting items for the Application Checklist.

2. Complete the Online Application by November 15, 2013; http://

goo.gl/8oRi3T. The application includes a 250-300 word essay.

3. Counselor submits Application Checklists Data November 26, 2013. 

4. Teacher Recommendations-Communicate with your four core 8th grade teachers (Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies) about completing a Teacher Recommendation Form.  The School Counselor will send them an online form to complete the Teacher Recommendation.

4. Interviews-students will be offered the opportunity to interview based on selections from the application process.

5. Students will be notified of acceptance in February.  Online Application

SUBMITTED BY COUNSELOR• Grades (last year’s report card and this year’s grades to date).

• Attendance profile from 7th grade and 8th grade.

• Discipline profile from middle school.

• End-of-Grade Tests (7th grade reading and math). If the student was not a NHCS student, please submit standardized achievement test scores for two years.

• Recommendation from a Counselor.

• IEP/504 identification

• ESL status

• STAE program

• Teacher Recommendations from 8th grade teachers
