Summer ministry is in full swing here in Southeast Wisconsin!

Earlier this month, I got to march in a 4th of July parade to help promote two of our local Good News Clubs...a frst for me. Although it was hot and exhausting, I enjoyed the experience overall. And we got to invite more than 1100 children to Good News Club, which is very exciting!

Last weekend, I enjoyed a road trip down to Memphis to visit a dear friend. Her former roommate traveled with me and the three of us packed all kinds of adventures into our 72 hours together: exploring art galleries, savoring local food (including the best popsicleI've ever eaten), and hiking in the woods along the Mississippi River (which ended in us getting completely soaked in a sudden rainstorm!)

Tis past Saturday, I led an all-day training for 37 local volunteers who are participating in a day camp outreach in central city Milwaukee this week. Te day camp is a partnership between 2 inner-city churches and 1 suburban church and will include basketball, crafts, and snacks along with the normal games and teaching segments of a 5-Day Club. I was blessed by the passion and commitment of these volunteers, who were cheerfully giving up their whole Saturday to sit in a windowless church basement for training.

Te day camp started today, and from what I've heard, only a few children showed up even though the team was prepared for as many as 60. Please pray with me:

• For the team leading the day camp not to grow discouraged, but to trust God and follow His leading.

• For many more children to attend the day camp and hear the Gospel this week!• For another volunteer training that I'll be leading at a church in Racine on

Wednesday night.Prayers would also be appreciated as I prepare to teach 5-Day Clubs myself for the frst time this summer! Next week I'll be teaching an evening club in Racine with one local summer missionary and two visiting missionaries from Missouri. And the following week I'm excited to serve as the team leader for Ethnos Church, who will be doing 3 5-Day Clubs for the 4th year in a row. Every year that I've worked with Ethnos, God has done amazing things in the lives of children and parents and I can't wait to see what He has in store this year!
