WIN! Street Racers Stopped In May, The Alliance was alerted to street racers disturbing neighbors along Alpine Avenue. Speeding and “turning doughnuts” in the street leaving deep skid marks. One driver crashed into a telephone pole and abandoned the car in the street. Diligent Alliance members reported the offenders to Program Mgr. Dawn Carlson.
“Our tasting room who hosted about 20 people at the time emptied out within 30 seconds to the sound of tires, brakes and smell of burning rub-ber. We reported the incident to Power Inn Alliance...our street has re-gained its quietness and customers feel comfortable to hang around past 9pm,”shared Julien Lux of New Glory Craft Brewery.
Sac Police spoke with property managers who were not aware of the situa-tion. The tenants were moved out in early June and since then, no prob-lems have been reported, successfully helping make streets safer for staff and customers.
