Title : E260-1000 Error

Error :

The Error occurred after a jam removal. E260-1000 is defined as 12V/ 24V power supply

error to the black developer HVT. (UN136). UN136 receives 24 VDC from the Main

Station Power Supply Relay Board (UN102). UN136 was not the cause of the error, just

the first to detect the loss of 24 Volts and indicated the error code.

The sources of 24 VDC power to the Main Station Power Supply Relay Board are

UN500 and UN501 in the Power Supply Unit.

UN500 get 208 VAC directly from the power cord terminal assembly when the breaker is

turned on. While UN501 receives 208 VAC from the AC Relay .

UN501 not receiving 208 VAC supply voltage is the focus of this article.

Check for 208 VAC at J4727 on UN501, if the voltage is not there manually engage the

AC Relay solenoid by pushing the black button on the bottom of the relay.

The AC Relay solenoid is activated by J1848 on the Main Station Power Supply

Relay Board UN102. This only happens when the main station front cover switches

SW111 and SW112 and the vertical path cover switch SW116 are closed.

Check the AC Relay or J1848 for these approximate voltages:

Cover Open: Purple 12.9mVDC / Orange: 13.1 mVDC.

Cover open: Purple 102 mVDC / Orange 12.3 VDC.

If DC is not measured on the orange wire with the covers closed, power off the machine

and disconnect J1814 on the Main Station Power Supply Relay PCB.

Check continuity of the switches using J1814 of the Main station Power supply Relay

Board. Use the pins shown in the diagram below.

0 Ohms should be measured with the covers closed.

If continuity is confirmed and 12VDC was not measured on the orange wire with all the

covers closed, Suspect a blown fuse FU6 on the Main station Power Supply Relay PCB.

Workaround :

In this case, fuse FU6 was open. Replacing the Main station Power Supply

FM2-2254-000 corrected the issue.
