Shakers is an old-style diner that is hosting a special Charity Night Event for E-USA. This event is open to the
public, and anyone who indicates that they are there in support of EMERGENCY USA will have 25% of their
meal payment dedicated towards a donation to E-USA. A section of the restaurant will be reserved for

Special guest presenters will talk about experiences working, visiting, and filming on site at each of the
programs ofEMERGENCYworldwide.
2. Overview of EMERGENCY USA's structure, actions, initiatives 12:15 1:00 PMA survey of organizational structure, accomplishments, direction, followed by committee and volunteer
group representative introductions. Volunteer group coordinators will update attendees on
accomplishments, initiatives, and efforts underway.

3. Expert-led Session: EMERGENCY USA Messaging How To 2:30 4:00 PM
Shauna Ryann Carey leads E-USAs Communications Committee and will share her expertise with
conference attendees, sharing effective techniques for clear and effective messaging, including how to
respond to tough questions.

4. Tools and Resources Overview: Equipping Volunteers for Action 4:15 - 5:30 PM
EMERGENCY USAs Volunteer Development Committee will provide a tutorial on the variety of resources,
online tools within reach, and examples of ingenuity and best practices for attracting volunteers, supporters
raising funds. Volunteers invited to share ideas, proposals, requests in support of local activities

Each supporter of EMERGENCY USA has the power to make a positive impact with a few simple steps.
This discussion will go over essentials, and will also address the importance of coordination for combining
efforts and leveraging individual actions for greatest effect.
2. The Power of the EMERGENCYStory10:15 10:35 AM
One of the greatest assets we have is the compelling narrative of accomplishment and the ethical beauty
ofEMERGENCY. Well talk about ways of engaging the public, attracting and maintaining interest, and
inspiring support by reminding our communities of the impact of contributions.

3. Volunteer Group and National Initiatives 10:45 AM 12:15 PM
Well go over a "Checklist" of roles/tasks that required for healthy, volunteer group management and review
what is currently working where gaps can be improved. Khudejha Asghar will lead attendees in an exercise
in Resource Mapping for each community, and event tips will be shared by experienced volunteers.
