The sun shone brightly on our 10th Anniversary Annual Yorktown Chamber of Commerce Festival amp Street Fair jointly co- sponsored by the Town of Yorktown securing this event as a Yorktown ldquotraditionrdquoThousands of residents came out to see close to 200 vendors providing information promotional giveaways raffles and games Live entertainment a display of new car models face painting a dog costume contest a cupcake eating contest childrenrsquos rides a blood drive sponsored by the Red Cross and a luncheon enjoyed by close to 300 seniors provided by the neighborhood restaurants and businesses rounded out a phenomenal dayrdquoIt is an incredible opportunity for both our business people and the residents of Yorktownrdquo commented Chamber President Eric DiBartolo

YORKTOWN FIT BODY BOOT CAMPHello My name is Darren Brody Fitness has been a passion of mine since I was a child I was a very overweight child growing up at a time when bullying wasnrsquot perceived as horribly as it really is Needless
to say I had a rough time in elementary school However one day in the fourth grade my gym teacher pulled me aside and said he wanted to help me He told me that if I joined pee wee wrestling hersquod show me how to get in shape through proper diet and exercise This was the start of a lifelong journey for me I lost most of my childhood weight during that wrestling season and never looked back Thatrsquos not to say I havenrsquot had any challenges with my weight over the years but I always realized how important diet and exercise are to maintaining a healthy lifestyleThe following year my parents moved to a different school district so no one knew the old me It was as if I had a new
lease on life I met new friends and began to feel com-fortable with where I was at Then I realized I was putting some weight back on so in the sixth grade I signed up for tackle football My history and knowledge of diet and exercise helped me excel in that sport throughout middle and high school When my football career ended I knew I had to keep doing something competitive so I took up bodybuilding in college This was a lot of fun and helped me learn a lot about discipline diet fitness and human anatomy After college I entered the business world Thatrsquos when reality set in I no longer had the time and didnrsquot see the value in dedicating time to bodybuilding Still that didnrsquot mean I was willing to let my health go I continued to adhere to a regimen of working out and watching what I ate Over the years my passion for fitness has grown exponentially and I have helped many people overcome their weight loss challenges It has always been a dream of mine to use this passion to help people lead healthier lives Thatrsquos why I decided to embark on this journey with Fit Body Boot Camp For additional information visit wwwyorktownfitbodycom or stop by at 1735 Front Street Yorktown Heights NY 914-830-7185

Our 10th Anniversary Annual Yorktown Chamber of Commerce Street Fair this year was once again a huge success by any measure I want to express my great appreciation to our major sponsors which included Fidelis Care Camp Nabby Yorktown News The Northern Westchester Examiner and Burger King as well as to the many many vendors who participated to make it a fantastic event Further we owe a debt of gratitude to Yorktown Police Chief Robert Noble and his entire department for keeping us safe throughout the day Fire Chief Jay Swart heading up the best volunteer fire department in New York State the Yorktown Ambulance Corps who were there to address any medical emergencies (fortunately none arose) and under the direction of Al Paisano I also want to thank all the town employees who helped throughout the day to keep our event spotlessly clean

Our 10th Anniversary Annual Yorktown Chamber of Commerce Street Fair this year was once again a huge success by any measure I want to express my great appreciation to our major sponsors which included Fidelis Care Camp Nabby Yorktown News The Northern Westchester Examiner and Burger King as well as to the many many vendors who participated to make it a fantastic event Further we owe a debt of gratitude to Yorktown Police Chief Robert Noble and his entire department for keeping us safe throughout the day Fire Chief Jay Swart heading up the best volunteer fire department in New York State the Yorktown Ambulance Corps who were there to address any medical emergencies (fortunately none arose) and under the direction of Al Paisano I also want to thank all the town employees who helped throughout the day to keep our event spotlessly clean

Our 10th Anniversary Annual Yorktown Chamber of Commerce Street Fair this year was once again a huge success by any measure I want to express my great appreciation to our major sponsors which included Fidelis Care Camp Nabby Yorktown News The Northern Westchester Examiner and Burger King as well as to the many many vendors who participated to make it a fantastic event Further we owe a debt of gratitude to Yorktown Police Chief Robert Noble and his entire department for keeping us safe throughout the day Fire Chief Jay Swart heading up the best volunteer fire department in New York State the Yorktown Ambulance Corps who were there to address any medical emergencies (fortunately none arose) and under the direction of Al Paisano I also want to thank all the town employees who helped throughout the day to keep our event spotlessly clean
