Picture of a public bath in Tsau-san-jung Amusement Park which was built in 1930: the place is now Taipei Teachers’ Study

Center, Yang-ming-shan. The railings on the second floor of the front part of the building have now been pulled down. The

black roof is now changed into a red one. According to remark of Mr Wan-chuan Jou, the former chief secretary of Sanchong

City Government Office, who was born in 1918, people in the photo were members of the Sanchong Hou-ju-wei Defense Team.

Eighty-year-old Wei-tzung Lin, who is a householder of the ancient house of the Lin family in Chungde, Sanchong, expresses

that the person in the middle of the first row on the photo who wore a square hat and a black uniform and also carried a long

knife was the principal of Sanchong Elementary School, Imamura Sophachi. The second person on the right, wearing light-

colored clothes and shoes for riding horses, was Mr Mori, teacher of Wei-tzung Lin in Sanchong Elementary School. (Photo

写真の建物は1930年（昭和5年）に建てられた草山衆楽園公共浴場で、今は陽明山台北市教師研習センターになって

いる。建物正面の手摺は取り去られ、元は黒の屋根瓦は、今は赤色に変わっている。写真の中の人物は、1918年生ま

れの元三重市役所の主任秘書周萬傳さんの話に依れば、日本時代の三重後竹囲防衛団団員達で、80歳の三重崇徳居林

氏の古い家屋の主人林維宗さんの話に依れば、第１列の中央に四角帽子を被り黒い制服を着て、手に日本刀を持って

いる人は三重国民小学校長今村尊八先生、右側の第2人で薄色の着物を着て、騎馬靴を履いている人は、林維宗さん

165.民國59年嘉義市最著名的媽祖婆,即政壇聞人許世賢女醫師,卸任嘉義市長後,擔任監察委員,探訪地

方民情,拜訪本所,在二樓市長室與當台北縣民政局長邵恩新(左一背對鏡頭者),陳進炮市長(右一),及另

一位高市選出的監委洽談.許世賢是台灣史上一位傳奇人物,造訪本市是一個難得的歷史鏡頭.(圖片:陳

A famous lady in Chiayi City in 1970 was Shih-shian Hsu who was a female medical doctor. After leaving the post as

the Mayor of Chiayi City, she worked as a member of the Control Yuan and made an inspection of local people’s life and

also visited our Office. The photo was taken on the Mayor’s Office on the second floor. Director of the Department of

Civil Affairs of Taipei County, En-shin Shau (first on the left, with the back facing the camera), the Mayor, Jing-pau

Chen (first on the right) and another member of the Control Yuan of Kaohsiung City. Because Shih-shian Shiu seemed as

if she were a legendary figure in the history of Taiwan, it was a historical event that she could also manage to visit our

1970年嘉義市の最も著名な媽祖婆。即ち政治界の名士許世賢女医が、嘉義市長から退職後、監察委員を担任、

地方の民情を探訪の時、本所を訪れ、二階の市長室で、当時の台北県民政局邵恩新局長(左から第1人、背をカ

メラに向けている人)、陳進炮市長(右から第1人)及びもう一人の高雄市選出の監察委員と懇談。許世賢さんは台

170.(民國四十年警民協會新莊分會送莊永在留

念). 據前三重鎮長莊根藤大兒子莊天齡表示,新

莊水利會辦公廳,位於現新莊恆毅中學與新莊市

公所間的中正路上,在莊根藤卸任鎮長職後,國民

黨政府在民國49年安排他到新海水利會擔任會

長,莊根藤四年會長任期後退休. 圖為新海水利

Citizens Association organized a farewell meeting for Yung-

tzai Juang. According to Tian-ling Juang, son of the former

Head of Sanchong Township Gen-teng Juang, the Office of

Department of Water Resource of Shinjuang was located in

the place which is currently between Hengyi High School

and Shinjuang City Government Office on Jungjeng Road.

After Gen-teng Juang retired from Head of Township, the

KMT government arranged for him to be a chairman of

Department of Water Resource of Shinhai. After four years

[in office], he retired from the position. The photo was of

the Department of Water Resource of Shinhai. Tian-ling

話に依れば、新荘水利会の執務所は、今の新荘恆毅中

水利会会長の職に推薦し、荘根藤さんは四年の任期を

In 1971, a Japanese, Mr Takaotsu, gave 1,020 cherry blossom

seeds. These seeds were planned to be planted in the park near

Taibu Temple (a temple worshipping Immortals). Before that,

the seeds were first cultivated in Shiaugetou Seedbed, Taipei

County. In the photo, the person standing is Mr Pei-fang Lin

who was at that time an agricultural technician in Construction

Section, City Government Office, and later became Head of the

On 27th March, 1957, the third annual

meeting of Taipei County (the seventh

meeting) was held in Beitou Grand Hotel. In

the photo, the first person from the right was

Wen-shiang Wu; the first one from the left

was Ming-yi Liau; the second one from the left

was Ching-chuan Lian – all the three men

were selected as the third annual members of

a district council at that time. Wu represented

Gungliau Township; the other two represented

the Sanchong area. The second person from

In 1961, the Anti-aircraft Gun Headquarters, located

behind Sanchong Elementary School, established a

China Youth Corps’ summer activity – a car driving

class. The seventh sitting person from the right in the

front row was Mayor Shuei-tu Hung; the eighth one

from the right was Commander Yeh of Antiaircraft Gun

Headquarters; the sixth from the left was Wen-shiang

Wu who acted as a leader of driving team. (Photo

The computing information service

of the Taipei Provincial Farmers’

Association was first started in 1984.

Being the advanced one among the

Farmers’ Association in the northern

area, Sanchong Farmers’ Association

was the initiator of the common center

o f Farmers’ Associa t ions in the

northern area. In August 1984, Sanchong

Farmers’ Association’s officers visited

Dounan Farmers’ Association and
