The Working Committee Members were working round the clock to ensure all tasks were done in time for the big day. The different teams went about with their responsibilities ……logistics, catering, security and traffic control and exhibition. The library collection had now swelled to over 2,500 items. Dy Nooralizah was seen busy cataloguing items and keying the data into the system. Dy Nurul Fajrina was finalising the website and the HM Portal with more information and photographs, with the help of the vendor. Siti Hadijah on the other hand was accessioning the newly received items into the register. The alumni members were soon filling-up the glass showcases with personal artifacts like medals and awards and their precious contributions of photographs and prized books and publications. The contractors were putting up signage and mounting the charts, posters and His Majesty’s photographs in the Gallery. In one corner committee members were sorting and dispatching to invitation cards, others were putting ribbons of the Student Handbook and Reference Sources on His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Wadaullah, the two books that were presented to His Majesty. The 30 June and 5 July were rehearsal days. The red carpet was laid down, the college spruced up, creating an air of excitement throughout the college. Curious students could not help but came round to ask about the flurry and the fuss. Now the Class of 64 Library looks grand, with a value- added element, of a library and a gallery which is supported by a web based on-line catalogue and an HM Portal. Discussing final details

Final Preparations for Presentation of Pasambah

Anugerah Khas Jubli Emas STPRI 2007

The 7th National Technical Education Institutions and Vocational Convocation Ceremony was held on 10 May 2007 organised by the Technical Education Department, Ministry of Education. The Chief Guest was Yang Mulia Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohammad Bin Pengiran Haji Abdul Rahman, Deputy Minister of Education. There were 740 graduates from seven Technical and Vocational Schools, that is Sultan Saiful Rijal Technical College (MTSSR), Jefri Bolkiah Engineering College (MKJB), Mechanical Training Centre (PLM), Nakhoda Ragam Vocational School (SVNR), Sultan Bolkiah Vocational School (SVSR), Business School and Wasan Vocational School. . Among the recipients were 13 graduates of the National Diploma in Information and Library Management programme third intake who were volunteers of the Class of ’64 Library.

Puan Nellie Dato Paduka Hj Sunny was selected by STPRI Awards Committee to receive the Anugerah Khas Jubli Emas STPRI 2007 in the category Pemegang Ijazah Wanita Pertama (First professional Librarian) at the Malam Gemilang Jubli Emas STPRI in conjunction with the STPRI Golden Jubilee Celebrations on Saturday, 28 July 2007 at the Ballroom, Hua Ho Manggis Mall. Puan Nellie is the Project Manager of Class of 64 Library.
