(measurement of PF, voltage,
current, temp.)
Continuous monitoring of substation is essential
for reliable& safer power supply at customer
point. In this project are going to monitor various
supply parameters viz., voltage, frequency, p.f,
power ensuring protection against various faults.
PS02 Transmission line multiple fault
indication to substation
Ensuring reliable supply to customers is major
point in distributing power. In this project
complete protection against such faults are
monitored & if any fault occurs it indicates to
nearby substation through RF technology
PS03 Automatic power factor correction
using switching capacitors
In this power factor correction unit it consists of a
number of capacitors that are switched by means
of relays. These contactors/relays are controlled
by a regulator that measures power factor in an
electrical network. Depending on the load and
power factor of the network, the power factor
controller will switch the necessary blocks of
capacitors in steps to make sure the power factor
stays above a selected value.
PS04 Automatic power factor correction
using static var compensators
In this power factor correction unit consists of a
number of capacitors that are switched by means
of relays. These contactors are controlled by a
regulator that measures power factor in an
electrical network. Depending on the load and
power factor of the network, the power factor
controller will vary the firing angle of the
thyristor. This will vary the net value of the
capacitance connected to the supply.
PS05 Transformer oil temperature
monitoring with automatic Circuit
Breaker operation.
The temperature of the transformer oil is
monitored and displayed on the LCD. When the
temperature increases we will switch ON cooling
FAN. Even after switching the FAN if the
temperature is not decreased then we will switch
of the transformer by using a relay. Bulb is
connected as a load.

We will measure the current in the earth
conductor by using current transformer and ADC.
When this current is increased to a value greater
than the pre defined value then the load is
switched off showing indication of the earth fault.

power supply in all the three phases when it is
running if any of the phases is having a power

fault i.e over voltage, under voltage and over

Whenever there is fault in the transmission line

displayed on the display. If the fault if temporary
fault then the load is reconnected to the line if not
the load remains disconnected. And the faulty

Whenever there is fault in the transmission line
the load is switched off and the type of the fault is
displayed on the display. If the fault if temporary

When a single phase load is connected to a phase
which is having a power outage then the load is
automatically switched to another phase by using
relays so that the availability of the single phase

SL01 Renewable Energy management –

Two modes of operation of the solar inverter will
be there. They are low power mode and balanced
power mode. In low power mode only one cfl
light is switched on and the backup time will be
more. In balanced power mode two cfl lights are
switched on for getting more brightness. Output
supply is taken from the inverter.

In this we will monitor and store different
parameters in industry like temperature, voltage,
etc .We will store these parameters values in SD
card along with measured time and date also. The
stored data format will be in .txt file or excel
format so that we can go through entire monthly

systems
As we know to save our world we have to reduce
usage of paper. This project helps in eliminate
papers used in feedback systems. In this the
feedback and suggestions should be entered from
key board and this data will be stored in memory
card in a file format using ARM7 micro
controller.

EE01 Wireless Scrutinizer for Detecting
the fault in Power System.
We take a 230v supply voltage and measure the
current in it. Fault condition is created by using
bulbs. We measure the input and output current of
the load using 2 ct's. When the bulb is on we
assume fault is created and it is indicated in
another section using rf.
EE02 Wireless load measuring meter for
power line.
The power in the transmission line is calculated
by measuring voltage, current, power factor, and
this is indicated in the display by sending the data
wirelessly.

Power Line Losses.
The power loss in the transmission line is
calculated by measuring the voltage drop in the
line. The voltage drop is created by using a
resistor and an inductor.
