• E-IDEA provides a platform and powerful drive for our project, to let more young

people comprehend the idea of recycling old stuffs into pure hand made, low

energy consumption objects.

Project Introduction:

NO3NO4 team use the usual stuff from daily live – socks, to sew the unique 100% hand made dolls., that gives a new life for the ordinary things which can be easily neglected. Meanwhile we are hoping to teach people making dolls from old socks through recycle DIY courses, so as to add some“green”into our lives.

Project Feature: No3No4 Sock dolls design uses the simplest, low energy consumption method to transform the socks’ pattern, shape as well as fabric ingeniously through every single needle and thread into well created products. Various interesting ideas are inspired by thousands of different patterns of socks. Every doll appears its own features since the contingency during the process of sewing. Our brand name “No3No4” in Chinese not only represents the product’s fabric-cloth, but also expresses an attitude of living freely and uniquely through its euphony.

DIY COURSE:

We expected more young people could appreciate the concept of recycling old stuff, to create a

new value through their own hands behind the DIY dolls courses: Even the most ordinary thing

can be described, recreated as a completely different, exclusive object which is worth to be

cherished.

Goals: To disseminate the “green” sock dolls hand made concept as well as to initiate low carbon consumption through the DIY courses held in dense populated area (core commercial area) in cities and in the schools. To create more equal job opportunities from sock dolls business.
