Obtaining an e-ID

• Go to www.siue.edu/eid• Choose “I want to get an e-ID”• Follow the online instructions to obtain your e-ID

e-ID secret phrase

The Secret Phrase must be at least four words long and should be something that is meaningful to you.

Choose a clue small enough to help you remember the Secret Phrase, but not so detailed that someone could guess the Secret Phrase.

Example:

When you receive your KEYCODE Post Card

• In a few days you will receive a neon pink postcard in the mail.

• Go back to the e-ID website and choose “I received the postcard with my key code and I need to preserve my e-ID.”

A good password should have a combination of Numbers, Upper and Lower Case Letters. An SIUE password must be 7 to 8 characters in length.

Cougar CardYour Cougar Card is an all-purpose card that can be used for identification, meal plans, vending and admittance to SIUE buildings and events. Every student, faculty member and staff member is eligible to obtain a card and open a debit account. Although entrusted to you while you are enrolled at or employed by Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, the Cougar Card remains the property of the University.
