Contents
Introduction
DYWI® Inject SILO 8044 is a 2-component silicate resin with excellent adhesive properties that cures quickly and solidly. This system has been developed specifically as adhesive injection resin for anchoring cable bolts or applications in combination with the DYWI® Drill Hollow Bar System or GRP hollow bars.
The easy working principle, a 1:1 parts by volume mixing ratio, and extensive underground field testing characterize this injection resin and provide ideal prerequisites to fulfill requirements for application in underground mining.
Additionally, the non-foaming DYWI® Inject SILO 8044 can be used for injection works in foundation engineering as well as for filling boreholes or other small cavities.

Mixing and Processing
■ DYWI® Inject SILO 8044 is provided according to the mixing ratio (1:1 parts by volume)
■ Component A must already be mixed slowly and thoroughly in the container (at a maximum of 300 rpm)
■ Ideally, component A is processed mixing steadily at all times
■ Component A and component B are processed using 2-component high pressure pump DYWI® Inject 8096 Type MT
■ A homogenous mixing of both components is ensured by a special mixing unit for silicate systems
■ Component B is highly moisture sensitive and must not come in contact with water during or before mixing

When handling DYWI® Inject products, EG No. 1907/2006 safety data sheets must be accessible to everyone responsible for material handling, health, and safety.
Protective clothing, protective gloves, and face protection/safety glasses must be worn at all times when handling materials, cleaning equipment, and disposing of materials. Where appropriate, protect skin using a protection lotion.
In case of skin contact, clean immediately with water and soap. If the product splashes into your eye, immediately rinse with water and seek medical advice. Make sure to present the product safety data sheet during medical assistance.
Cleaning and Disposal
Provided work interruptions are short, the mixing unit can be rinsed using component A. In case of longer interruptions, rinse - respectively clean - the hoses and pistons of the A side thoroughly with water. Analogously, the B side is rinsed - respectively cleaned - using cleaning agent DYWI® Inject Clean 8081.
If pumps are not used over a longer period of time, the complete system should be filled with the preservative DYWI® Inject Clean P 8086 for injection pumps after cleaning. As cured material can only be removed mechanically, both pump and accessories have to be cleaned immediately after completion of the injection works.
For instructions regarding residual material and empty containers, refer to the safety data sheets and a separate DSI leaflet on disposal instructions.
