Why styling?Did you know, that styling not only makes your hair looking beatiful, but it also helps to prevent them from damaging? For example, Thermo-All-Around-Protection formula in Taft mousses decreases negative influence of heat from hairdryer or Taft Color Shine contains UV filter to protect your hair from harmful Sun rays.

Gel gives hold and thus helps to define the desired style. Recommended predominantly for short to medium length hair.

Tips for usage:

Levigate the gel between your palms and disperse it onto towel-dried hair. Define the desired style with your finger tips. For reaching even better hold, apply the gel from the roots on.

Styling – what is what?Hairspray provides hair with hold, fixes desired style and makes hair more shiny. Supports all styles in all hair lengths.

Tips for usage:For finishing: apply spray from 30cm distance to hair in order to fix the style.

You can increase your hair volume or support natural styling with spray – see other sections.

Mousse provides hair with more volume and hold, thus forms the base for styling. Important benefit of mousses protection from hairdryer heat thanks to Thermo-all-around-protection formula in all Taft mousses. Recommended for medium length to long hair.

Tips for usage:Shake the bottle and spray mousse downwards onto your palms. Levigate the mousse between your palms and apply equally onto towel-dried hair from the roots to the tips. Blow-dry afterwards.

Wax defines strands and helps to tame “flying” hair. Supports all styles in all hair lengths.

Tips for usage:Rub the wax between your palms until it gets warm and define the strands with your finger tips.

Which functions blow-dryer must have?

wattage is very important í min 1000 watts, otherwise it will take long to blow-dry the hair

at least 2 heat settingsí in order to meet specific needs of the hair: fine hair requires a lower heat setting than thicker hair

at least 2 speed settingsí a lower speed regime is useful for drying fine strands of hair, other wise they tend to whirl

a cool shot button is a mustí makes it easier to cool the hair, giving it more bounce and hold

There are mainly 2 attachments:

Nozzles Diffusers

Nozzles are used for more targeted blow-dry-ing í direct the air more precisely. In this case blow-dryer heat is more concentrated and therefore hotter. Therefore it is key to keep a distance of at least 20cm from hair when blow-drying with the nozzle. This attachment is ideal for styling fine, short or straight hair.

Diffusers are great for adding volume for waves and curls. This attachment has a broad “head” that evenly distributes the stream of air and directs only the dryer warmth, but not the hot dryer heat through hair. When using the diffuser the best results are achieved by blow-drying hair upside down while scrunching hair with fingers – soft, natural looking curls effect is stronger. Diffuser attachment is ideal for thick, curly or long hair.

What attachments are available for blow-dryers & what are their functions?

Become a Blow-drying pro!In preparation for perfect style it’s best to towel-dry the hair before applying styling products.

A blow-dryer can also be used to pre-dry the hair.

blow-dry on a lower heat setting í blow-drying on too high heat stimulates circulation in the scalp the-reby increasing production of sebum & making hair to become oily more quickly at the roots / also heat increase risk of damaging the hair
