The Duro Dyne family recently mourned theloss of a longtime, beloved, member. SusanDeSimini passed away suddenly on August 24

Susan was Administrative Assistant to CEO RandyHinden for 19 years. She was also Editor-in-Chiefof Good Times for many of those years. Susan washard-working, smart and meticulous in every-thing she undertook. She treated Duro Dyne asif it were her own business.

We’ll miss her.

Duro Dyne is the Greatest Name in Sheet MetalNecessities. Of course, much of that is due to ourexcellent products, and superb customer service.We have always maintained that we have veryloyal, satisfied, customers. However, equallyimportant to us are our dedicated employees.

According to the US Department of Labor, Bureauof Labor Statistics, the median number of yearsworkers are at their current job is under fiveyears. At Duro Dyne, we have always prided our-selves on having employee tenure much greaterthan most businesses today. The average tenureof our employees is greater than 10 years. Someof our longer term employees have been withDuro Dyne for more than 30 years.

Duro Dyne is a family business. My father, MiltonHinden, started Duro Dyne, and the third genera-tion of the Hinden family has already entered thebusiness. In our office, sales force and factory,aside from long-term employees, we have hadmany members of the same families working forDuro Dyne, as well as many families where asecond generation has worked for the company.

When we refer to the people of Duro Dyne as afamily, sometimes it just feels that way, and some-times, it really is true. We not only work well to-gether we truly care about each other, and eachof our families, as well. This extends to many ofour distributors and customers, too.

As we enter the holiday season, beginning withThanksgiving, we take a moment to express grat-itude for all of our blessings. At Duro Dyne, weare thankful for our employees and our
