Objective: Using Puppet Warp

Download standup.psd We want to improve the girl’s posture so she is straight

If I want to only “warp” her face, I would select that and choose to View>Show> Mesh:

However, go ahead and select the girl

Hint: Note the background

Note: puppet warp works on whatever is selected

Select Edit>Puppet warp

You’ll see this mesh:

You’re going to add “pins”, places where the subject bends or stretches.

Click to add these pins: 2 on her shoulders, 1 at the midriff, one on her hands:

(A click adds a pin, a right-click allows you to delete a pin)

Pin Placement ( sounds like golf putting!) Add them now

Hide the mesh grid :

Add a pin in her neck and pull it upwards:

Her chin distorts a bit, select her left shoulder pin and drag up

Add a pin next to her right shoulder:

Push the new pin to straighten her shoulder joint Move the pin on her hands to the left, which pulls the lower half of her

body, to better align her hips:

Add a pin above her breastbone and drag it to the right

Exit puppet mode: Click Move tool and say to apply the warp

My version:

The key to this was placing pins at body joints, where body bends
