Morning & Self-Supporting (Afternoon/ Replica/ Evening) Programs ACADEMIC YEAR 2019-20

General Instructions: 1. Registration fee, if not already registered with University of the Punjab @ Rs. 3,720/-

2. Result Notification fee will be charged @ Rs. 100/- per semester

3. Late deposit fee within 15 days is Rs. 300/- within 30 days is Rs. 400/-, after 30 days is Rs.500/- and

re-admission fee is Rs. 600/-. The Heads of the Departments/Centres/ Institutes/ Constituent Colleges

may waive off late fee deposit fine.

4. Library security is refundable within one year after the completion of the session.

5. Foreign students/ Children of Pakistani ex-patriots (Overseas students) in addition to the usual

prescribed fees of the University and the Department concerned, shall pay US dollar 1,000/- once at

the time of admission in the particular bank accounts of the University.

6. The Students who cannot appear in examination because of genuine excuse/ reason shall be allowed

to appear in re-sit examination within one week after the examination subject to the payment of

special examination fee of Rs.5,000/- for one course. If the number of courses is more than one then a

lump sum of Rs. 10,000/- shall be paid as special examination fee to the department.

7. The departmental dues will be utilized for department’s development, examination expenses

(including thesis evaluation, viva voce etc.) ID Cards, Computer Labs, Lab. Maintenance /

Chemicals, Equipment, Departmental Society fee, etc. Proper account of departmental dues will be

maintained by the departments and all the expenditure shall be incurred after pre-audit.

8. All departments/ Institutes/ Colleges/Centers will deposit all the fees except departmental dues in

respective University’s main income account.

9. University Regular Teachers/ Employees (including retired), their spouses, children and relatives

studying in any of University Department/Centre/Institute/Constituent College under regular classes

will be granted concession from payment of fees as under:

a) i. 100% concession in tuition fee, Medical Fee, Mosque Fund, PUSTC/ PUWSTC Fee for university teachers / employees, their spouses and children

ii.100% concession in tuition fee to brother, sister, nephew/ niece or orphan dependent on university teacher or employee

b) Self-Supporting /Replica classes: i. 50% concession in tuition fee along with total Medical Fee, Mosque Fund, PUSTC/ PUWSTC for university teachers / employees, their spouses and children.

ii. 50% concession in tuition fee to brother, sister, nephew/ niece or orphan dependent on university

teacher or employee.

iii. 100% concession in Departmental dues (for regular & self-supporting classes)

Refund of Fees under Regular & Self-Supporting Programs

Where a student withdraw his/her admission, the following rules will be followed according to the

H.E.C. policy;

Note

i. % of fee shall be applicable on all components of fee except for security and admission charges.

ii. Timeline shall be calculated continuously, covering both weekdays and weekends.

Fee Concession to Students

Head of the department are empowered to grant fee concession as per following criteria.

1. 100% fee concession upto 10% of the total number of students actually on roll in a class.

2. Half fee concession upto 20% of the total number of students actually on roll in a class.

3. 100% fee concession will be granted to the Hafiz-e-Quran students of the Punjab University on the

recommendation of the committee to be setup by the Vice-Chancellor from the date of approval.

4. The Dean of the faculty will be competent to sanction fee concession on brother-sister (kinship)

basis, provided the students are studying in any teaching department of the University under regular

program.
