● Originally organized by the ASUO in 1916● Non-profit corporation governed by an elected Board of

Directors comprised of mostly students● Consists of 5 different sections: Literary Duck, Creative

Duck, Spirit Duck, Digital Duck, and the Duck Stop Cafe

● They also provides student with services such as mailing and shipping, notary services and also contains an Oregon Community Credit Union branch

Our mission is to support the academic mission of the University of Oregon as well as provide students, faculty

and staff the benefit of our non-profit structure and make attending and working at the university

convenient. We strive to provide the best retail experience for students, faculty, staff, alumni & friends

of the University of Oregon.

The Duck Store is successful in creating a strong, cohesive work environment through its leadership model, based around the fundamentals of team management. As defined by Robert Blake and Jane Mouton, “These leaders lead by positive example and endeavor to foster a team environment so that all team members can reach their highest potential, both as team members and as people. They encourage the team to reach goals as effectively as possible, while also working tirelessly to strengthen the bonds among the various members. They normally lead some of the most productive teams.”

○ confidential counseling, behavioral health, career counseling, conflict resolution, stress management, eating disorder counseling, chemical dependency, etc
