Dubai.The heart of the Emirates

Dubai is a city of contrasts, a land where old and new meet, traditional and modern, east and west, that blend seamlessly to create a fascinating destination.

Dubai is easily the entertainment, shopping, sports and culinary capital of the Middle East. It is home to some of the world’s finest hotel chains and dining options. Recreational facilities are available in abundance and the entertainment ranges from traditional celebrations to trendy discotheques. The numerous shopping malls feature some of the world’s best brands at competitive prices and the Dubai Shopping Festival in February is every shoppers delight.

Dubai is a safe city with sunny weather virtually all year round. Add to all this, the pristine beaches and the breath-taking landscapes of the desert makes it easy to see why Dubai is an exciting year-round destination.

United Arab Emirates.

Where the old meets new

Compromising of seven emirates – Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain and Sharjah, the UAE is one of the world’s fastest growing tourist destinations, a melting pot of cultures with all the right ingredients for an unforgettable holiday experience.

With some of the finest hotels in the world, miles of golden sandy beaches and warm seas, state-of-the-art shopping malls, exotic souks, superb restaurants, stunning desert and mountain landscapes, the UAE is a truly unique destination for you to explore.

There's something for everyone

Dubai has been described in many ways – the City of Merchants, the City of Gold, Gateway to the Middle East – to name a few.

You can be sure of one thing: Dubai is a tourist’s delight. Choose Dubai and a world of options opens up to you.

For a truly incredible experience of traditional Arabian hospitality combined with modern marvels, Dubai is the number one choice in this region. Acknowledged as the business, leisure and sporting capital of the Middle East, Dubai welcomes visitors with year-round sunshine, a friendly and safe environment, and a cosmopolitan lifestyle. If it’s the old-world charm that lures some, it’s the calm blue waters of the sea or visions of an Arabian night in the desert that attracts others.

Whatever your interests are, you will find Dubai enchanting. Whether it’s lazing on the pristine beaches or the thrill of hunting down bargains in the shopping malls and souks.

For golf enthusiasts, there is the opportunity to tee off on championship courses. For the more adventurous visitor, there is an endless choice of activities ranging from fishing and scuba diving to sandboarding and dune-driving. Whether you stay a few hours or a few days, Dubai will give you the opportunity to experience adventure, shopping, sports, leisure and fine dining.

Experience the vibrancy of the world’s fastest growing commercial and tourist centre. The world’s tallest tower – Burj Khalifa, the world’s largest mall – The Dubai Mall, the marvellous Palm Islands, the iconic Palm Jumeirah – Dubailand and large-scale residential complexes are just a few of Dubai’s investments in the future. Marching ahead with ground-breaking developments, Dubai is truly the metropolis of tomorrow. So whatever your itinerary is, plan a stopover in Dubai.

Dune Dinner Safari

The mysterious desert beckons you for a magical evening out - an adventure you'll never forget. Leaving behind the bustle of the city in the afternoon, our safari guides will transport you, by four-wheel drive vehicles, for a thrilling journey over rolling dunes through the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve, deep into the heart of the desert. From the crest of a high dune, watch the sun cast its orange glow over the vast expanse of rippling sand all round you as it sets. Like a shimmering mirage in the distance you will see the flickering lights of your camp where a traditional Arabian welcome awaits you. The encampment conjures up images of the Arabian nights. Relax on comfortable low cushions in Bedu tents and quench your thirst, have your hands painted with intricate henna designs, experience a short camel ride, or just enjoy the aromatic shisha. A feast of grilled meats, fresh salads and delectable Arab sweets is served and under a galaxy of stars, you will be entertained by the bewitching belly dancer swaying to the haunting strains of Arabian music. You won't want this enchanting evening to end.

Stop for a picture opportunity at Fossil Rock, an awe-inspiring monolith, towering over the surrounding desert landscape, is embeddedwithfossilsmorethan80millionyearsold,recallingthe time when this part of Arabia was covered by sea. Your safari then takes you into the tricky escarpment of the Hajar Mountains, the jagged mountain range that runs down the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula, where canyons line our route. We follow the trails of the wadis and stop for an alfresco picnic lunch in one of the wadis. After lunch, we drive on to the Hatta Heritage Village to visit the restored fort converted to a museum which provides historical insight of the area.

Camel Riding and Sandboarding Safari

The contrast between the ancient 'Bedu' lifestyle and one of the world's latest sports makes this an unforgettable tour. Leaving Dubai in the morning, your four-wheel drive vehicle takes you far into the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve, where you meet your camel caravan for a half-hour ride across the spectacular red dunes. After your camel ride, you will try for one of the world's newest and most exciting sports - sandboarding. Just strap on your sand boards, draw a deep breath and take an exhilarating rush down the steep-sided dunes to the floor of the valley below. Return to the city at around noon. It is mandatory that guests wear closed casual shoes in order to go sandboarding.

Note: At the pick up time, passengers booked on this safari will be requested to sign a form of indemnity for the sand ski and camel rides activity.

Your contract These booking terms and conditions govern your booking. Where Emirates books a hotel or other ground service in its capacity as agent of the relevant third party supplier, your contract for that accommodation or service will be subject to the supplier's terms and conditions which could limit or exclude liability to you. No contract will come into existence until we accept your request for a booking and receive full payment in cleared funds.

When you submit your request for a booking, you guarantee that you have the authority to accept (and do accept) these conditions on behalf of yourself and all persons covered by your booking. If you are making a booking for more than one person, you are responsible for all payments due from every person for whom that booking is made. All the featured hotels and services are subject to availability.

Validity of prices All prices featured on emirates.com are:

1. Valid from 1st November 2011 to 31st October 2012 unless otherwise specified. 2. Your attention is drawn to the Dubai Stopovers guarantee which applies once we have received payment in full. 3. All prices are per room in US dollars and indicative only. Payment must be made in the local currency at the place of booking, as advised by the local Emirates office.

Infants and Children Infants sharing with parents with existing bedding are accommodated free-of-charge, but the infant(s) details must be included in the booking.

All information is correct at the time of going to print. However, hotels and services offered are subject to change without prior notice.

Valid between 1st November 2011 and 31st October 2012

Hotels offering the facility of 24-hour check-in/check-out will apply this policy to all bookings and will not offer the option for passengers to book rooms based on standard check-in/check-out times. A night booked at hotels offering the facility of 24-hour check-in/check-out entitles the passenger(s) to stay for a period of 24-hours from their time of arrival at the airport. All check-out times will be in multiples of 24-hours thereof. For example, a guest who arrives at Dubai International Airport at 5am on a certain day must check-out from the hotel by 5am on the day he/she plans to leave, otherwise an extra day will be charged, even if the stay is extended by a few hours.
