Spread over 1.5 million square feet, this is the largest indoor theme park in the world and the first leisure destination to bring together global brands Cartoon Network and Marvel. LA PERLE BY DRAGONE
This state-of-the-art aqua theatre on the banks of Dubai Canal is home to a permanent show conceived and choreographed by legendary artistic director Franco Dragone, of Cirque du Soleil fame. The only show of its kind in the region, rivaling similar ones in Las Vegas and Macau, La Perle takes its inspiration from the story of Dubai and combines dare-devil stunts with artistic performance to deliver an unforgettable experience.www.laperle.com

BLUEWATERS ISLAND
Rising up out of the Arabian Gulf adjacent to Dubai Marina, this manmade island will offer various retail, residential, hospitality and entertainment zones, with its centrepiece being the 210m-high Ain Dubai, set to become the world’s tallest Ferris wheel. It will also be home to the region’s first Madame Tussaud’s as well as a souk and 200 retail and F&B outlets.

DUBAI PARKS & RESORTS
Comprising three different theme parks, a waterpark, an expansive dining and entertainment district plus a Polynesian-themed hotel, this is the region’s largest dedicated theme park resort. Motiongate Dubai is dedicated to some of the biggest studios in Hollywood, including Colombia Pictures, Dreamworks and Lionsgate; Bollywood Parks Dubai brings to life the all-singing, all-dancing world of India’s movie industry, featuring rides and motion simulators galore as well as a live action Bollywood musical in a dedicated theatre; and Legoland Dubai is the first Lego-themed park in the region, complete with a separate Legoland waterpark.www.dubaiparksandresorts.com
Expected to open: Sept 2018Part of the wider, ongoing Dubai Historic District project that aims to enhance the visitor experience in Dubai’s oldest neighbourhoods, the first components of this upcoming museum will comprise a number of pavilions that will explore the history and heritage of Dubai.
AL SHINDAGHA MUSEUM
Covering close to 119 hectares, this expansive wildlife park on the outskirts of the city will be home to more than 4,000 animals and comprise a number of themed areas – Safari Village, Arabian Village, Asian Village and African Village – offering visitors of all ages an engaging safari experience. The park will also be home to a children’s zoo, butterfly park, botanical garden, and educational and veterinary facilities. In addition, authorities plan to utilise solar energy to generate electricity and power the park’s transportation and amusement facilities.

Opened: Oct 2017This new shopping, dining and entertainment destination, whose first phase is now open, is home to 500 retail and F&B concepts, all located along Dubai Creek and adjacent to the historic district of Al Fahidi.
