DRIVER INFORMATION CENTERYour vehicle’s Driver Information Center(DIC) provides vehicle information,vehicle feature personalization andvehicle warning messages. The DICmessages will be shown on yourinstrument cluster display. The DICbuttons are located on the left sideof the instrument panel. To operate theDIC, the ignition switch must be in theRun position.

(Trip/Fuel): Press this button toscroll through the following trip andfuel information:• Trip A or Trip B• Fuel Range (until empty)• Average Fuel Economy • Instantaneous Fuel Economy• Fuel Used• Timer Off• Average Speed• Battery Voltage(Personalization): Press this button

to scroll through the personalizationsettings.To personalize features:1. Place the vehicle in Park (P).2. Press the (Personalization) button

to enter the Feature Settings menu andscroll through the available features.

(Remote Vehicle Start): This featurecan be used to start the engine fromoutside the vehicle. The remote startcapability must be turned on using theDriver Information Center (DIC).To remote start the vehicle:1. Aim the transmitter at the vehicle.

(Extended remote start transmitterrange is within 196 feet [60 meters]of the vehicle).

2. Press and release the Lock buttonon the transmitter.

3. Immediately press and hold theRemote Start button for about fourseconds. When the vehicle starts, theparking lamps will light. The engine will continue running for 10 minutes.

4. Repeat these steps for a 10-minutetime extension. Only two consecutiveremote starts are allowed.

When you enter the vehicle after a remotestart, the key must be inserted in theignition and turned to the Run positionbefore driving.

ADAPTIVE REMOTE VEHICLE START and REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRYYour Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter allows you to lock and unlockyour vehicle and perform other functions from up to 60 feet away from yourvehicle.

(Unlock): Press this button to unlock the driver’s door. Press itagain within five seconds to unlockall remaining doors. The approachlighting can be programmed usingthe DIC.

(Remote Alarm): Press thisbutton to sound the alarm. The hornwill sound and the headlamps willflash for two minutes. Press thebutton again or turn the ignition keyto the Run position to cancel thealarm. The vehicle must be turnedoff to use the alarm.

(Remote Trunk Release): Pressthis button to release the trunk lid.The trunk may also be opened usingthe Trunk Release button located onthe left side of the instrument panel.

(Lock): Press this button whenall doors are closed to immediatelylock all the doors. RKE feedback(light flash and/or horn chirp) canbe programmed using the DIC. If the Delayed Lock feature isenabled and the Lock button ispressed while any door is open,the doors will not lock forapproximately 10 seconds.

Note: Your vehicle has automatic doorlocks that lock the doors when the vehicleis shifted out of Park (P). See your OwnerManual to program the automatic lock andunlock feature using the DIC.

ComfortPOWER SEAT CONTROLS and HEAD RESTRAINT ADJUSTMENTTo adjust the power seats for the driver and front passenger, use the powerseat controls located on the outboard side of the seat.

Seat Adjustment: Move this controlforward or rearward to move theseat and move it up or down to raiseor lower the entire seat cushion.Move the front or rear part of thecontrol up or down to tilt the seatcushion.

Recline Adjustment: Movethe top of this control forward toraise the seatback and move itrearward to recline the seatback.

Head Restraint Adjustment: Pull up on the front head restraints toraise them. The head restraints willlock into place. To lower the headrestraints, press the button located atthe base of the restraint.

If equipped, the front head restraintsalso can be tilted forward orrearward.

Lumbar Adjustment: Press the frontor rear part of this control to increaseor decrease lumbar support. Press thetop or bottom part of this control toraise or lower the position of thesupport.

Massaging Lumbar (if equipped):Press the additional button on theside of the seat to turn on themassaging lumbar. The massagingcycle will run for 10 minutes or untilthe switch is pressed again.

HEATED AND COOLED SEAT CONTROLS and MEMORY SETTINGSThe heated and cooled seat buttons and memory buttons are located on thefront doors.

(HeatedSeatback): Pressthis button to turnon the heatedseatback.

Easy Exit Seat: With the vehicle inPark (P), press this button to recallthe exit position for the driver’s seatand steering wheel, if equipped.Press the button again to move theseat back further. The easy exit seatalso can be programmed to moveautomatically using the DIC.

(Heated Seat and Seatback):Press this button to turn on theheated seat and seatback.

Seat Temperature Settings: Thereare three heated and cooled seattemperature settings (high, mediumand low). Continue to press thebutton to decrease the temperaturesetting. To turn off the feature,press the button until all indicatorlights are off.

Memory Recall: Press button 1 or 2to recall the memory settings forthe driver’s seat, outside mirrorsand steering wheel. The memoryseat setting also can beprogrammed to be recalledautomatically using the DIC.To save memory settings: 1. Adjust the driver’s seat, outside

mirrors and steering wheel to acomfortable position.

2. Press and hold button 1 or 2until two beeps sound.

3. Repeat these steps for a seconddriver.

(Cooled Seat):Press this button to turn on the cooledseat.

Automatic Recall of the Memory SeatThe memory seat can be programmed using the DriverInformation Center (DIC) to automatically recall thememory seat setting when the Remote Keyless Entrytransmitter unlock button is pressed. Different settingscan be programmed for transmitter 1 and 2.To program the memory seat:1. Press the (Personalization) button until Memory Seat

appears on the DIC.2. Press the (Set/Reset) button to access the feature

settings.3. Press the (Menu Up/Down) button to scroll through

the settings of Off, On, or No Change.4. With your choice displayed, press the (Set/Reset)

button to change the setting.

Automatic Recall of the Easy Exit SeatThe easy exit seat can be programmed using the DriverInformation Center (DIC) to automatically move to thefactory-set seat exit setting when the key is removed fromthe ignition.To program the easy exit seat:1. Press the (Personalization) button until Easy Exit Seat

appears on the DIC.2. Press the (Set/Reset) button to access the feature

settings.3. Press the (Menu Up/Down) button to scroll through

the settings of Off, On, or No Change.4. With your choice displayed, press the button to

change the setting.If Off is selected, the driver is required to manually pressthe easy exit seat button to recall the exit setting.

D T SCLIMATE CONTROLSThe climate controls can be operated manually or can be set to automatically adjust to the individual settings of the driver, front seatpassenger and rear seat passengers (if equipped).

Airflow Control: Turn theairflow control to change thedirection of the airflow.

(Vent): Directs air to theinstrument panel outlets.

(Bi-Level): Directs air tothe instrument panel outletsand floor outlets.

(Floor): Directs air to thefloor outlets.

(Defog): Directs air to thewindshield, side windowoutlets and floor outlets.

(Defrost): Directs most of the air to the windshieldand some air to the sidewindow outlets.

(Off): Turn thefan control to theOff position toturn off theclimate controlsystem.

Rear WindowDefogger: Press this knobto turn the rear windowdefogger on or off.

AirConditioning:Press thisknob to turnthe airconditioningon or off.

AUX (AuxiliaryFan): Press thisbutton to turnthe rear climatecontrol systemon or off (ifequipped).

PASS (Passenger’sClimate Control):Press this button toturn the passenger’sclimate controlsystem on or off.

Recirculation: Press thisbutton to recirculate inside airand keep outside air fromentering the vehicle.Recirculation will not functionin defog or defrost mode.

(Fan):Turn the fancontrol toincrease ordecrease fanspeed.

REAR CLIMATE CONTROL (IF EQUIPPED)

The rear climate control systemallows rear seat passengers to adjustthe direction of the airflow, fanspeed and temperature using thecontrol panel located on the back ofthe center console. For automatic operation, press the

(Fan) button until AUTO isdisplayed. When in auto mode,pressing the up arrow on the fanbutton will cancel automaticoperation; pressing the down arrowwill turn off the system.

AUTO (Automatic Mode): In this mode, the system automatically adjusts theairflow, fan speed, air conditioning and recirculation functions to reach andmaintain the set temperature(s).To set the automatic mode:1. Turn the fan control to the AUTO position.2. Turn the airflow control to the AUTO position.3. Adjust the temperature to a comfortable setting using temperature buttons.

Passenger’s Temperature Control:Press the arrow buttons to increaseor decrease the passenger’stemperature setting.

Driver’s Temperature Control:Press the arrow buttons toincrease or decrease thedriver’s temperature setting.

EntertainmentAUDIO SYSTEM FEATURESWhile most of the features on your radio will look familiar, following are some that may be new.

(Tune): Turn this knob to selectradio stations or, when a CD is playing,to select a track or MP3 file. Press theknob to adjust the tone control(bass/treble) or speaker control(balance/fade).

(Power/Volume):Press this knob toturn the system onor off. Turn the knobto adjust the volume.

(Clock) or (Load)(if equipped): This buttonwill be either the Clockbutton or CD Load button,if equipped with themultiple-disc CD player.Press the Clock button toadjust the clock; or pressthe Load button to load asingle CD or press andhold the button to loadmultiple CDs.

FAV (Favorite): Press this button togo through up to six pages of anycombination (AM, FM or XM, ifequipped) of preset radio stations.On each page, up to six stationsare available by using the sixpushbuttons below the radio display.

(Information):Press this button todisplay additionalinformation related tothe current function.

Auxiliary Input Jack:A portable audio playercan be connected to thisjack and played over thevehicle speakers.

(Eject): Press this buttononce to eject the currentlyplaying CD; or, if equippedwith the multiple-disc CDplayer, press and hold thisbutton to eject all CDs. If a CDis not removed after severalseconds, it will be pulled backinto the player automatically.

CD/AUX: Press thisbutton to play a CDinstead of the radio.Press the button againto automaticallysearch for a deviceconnected to theauxiliary input jack.

MENU: Press this buttonto display the radiosetup menu.

Setting Favorite StationsBefore setting your favorite stations, shift the vehicle into Park.

To set the number of favorite station pages:1. Press the MENU button to display the radio setup menu.2. Press the

pushbuttonlocatedbelow theFAV 1–6label on the radio display.

3. Select the desired number of favorite station pages.4. Press the FAV button. You may now begin storing your

favorite stations for the chosen number of pages.To store favorite stations:1. Tune to the desired radio station.2. Press the FAV button to display the page where the

station is to be stored.3. Press and hold one of the six pushbuttons until a beep

sounds.4. Repeat the steps for each pushbutton on each page.

Note: Choosing to engage in extended searching for specific audiostations or songs by using buttons and knobs — or to give extendedattention to entertainment tasks — can lead you to look away fromthe road frequently or longer than usual. Looking away from theroad for prolonged periods may cause you to miss seeing things onthe road that you need to see. Be sure to keep your eyes on theroad and mind on the drive — and avoid engaging in extendedsearching for specific items while driving.

Setting the TimeYour vehicle has an analog clock as well as the digital radioclock. The digital radio clock is disabled at the factory. To enable the radio clock display:1. Press the (Clock) button. Or, if equipped, press the

MENU button to display the radio setup menu; and thenpress the pushbutton under the clock label.

2. Press the pushbutton under the forward arrow label untilthe clock and date settings menu appears.

3. Press the pushbutton under the displayed status of eitherOn or Off. The On status indicates the radio clock isenabled and RADIO CLOCK ON will appear.

To set the time:1. Press the (Clock)

button. Or, ifequipped, press theMENU button; andthen press the pushbutton located under the clockoption label. The HR, MIN, MM, DD, YYYY labels willappear on the display.

2. Press the pushbutton under the label to be changed.3. Press the pushbutton again or the FWD button to

increase the numbers. Press the REV button to decreasethe numbers. Rotating the (Tune) knob also willincrease or decrease the selected label.

4. Press the Clock or MENU button again to set thecurrently displayed time and date.

ConvenienceCRUISE CONTROL and AUDIO STEERING WHEEL CONTROLSThe cruise control buttons and some audio controls are located on the steering wheel.

+ RES (Resume/Accelerate):Press this button to resume aset speed, or to increase theset speed when the system isactive.

(On/Off): Press this buttonto turn the cruise controlsystem on or off.

(Cancel): Press this button tocancel the set speed. Applyingthe brakes will also cancel theset speed.

– SET (Set): Press this button toset a speed, or to decrease theset speed when the system isactive. When the cruise controlis set, the Cruise light willilluminate on the instrumentpanel cluster.

(Voice Recognition/Mute): Press thisbutton to mute the audio system. Press andhold to initiate voice commands and interactwith the OnStar system (if equipped).

(Next): Press the up arrow togo to the next preset radio stationor, when a CD is playing, to thenext track.

SRCE (Source): Press this button to switch between AM, FM, XM and CD operation.

(Volume): Press the plus buttonto increase the volume.

(Seek): Press the seek arrow to go to the next radio station or,when a CD is playing, to the nexttrack.

Press and hold the seek arrow fortwo seconds to scan radio stationsin the selected band or, when a CD is playing, the tracks of the CD.

(Volume): Press the minusbutton to decrease the volume.

(Previous): Press the downarrow to go to the previous presetradio station or, when a CD isplaying, to the previous track.

RAINSENSE™ II WINDSHIELDWIPERS (IF EQUIPPED) andHEATED WASHER FLUID(IF EQUIPPED)The Rainsense™ II windshieldwipers use a moisture sensor toautomatically operate the wiperswhen needed, depending ondriving conditions and thesensitivity setting. If the systemis left on for long periods, anoccasional wipe may occurwithout any moisture on thewindshield to indicate the systemis activated.The headlamps and parkinglamps also will be turned onautomatically when the Rainsensewipers are active if the exteriorlamp control switch is in theAUTO position.The windshield wipers control islocated on the multifunction stalkon the left side of the steeringcolumn.

Note: Turn off the Rainsense wipersbefore entering an automatic car washto prevent wiper damage.

(Heated Washer Fluid): Slide and release thisswitch to start four automatic heated wash/wipecycles. The first cycle may take up to 45 secondsto occur before the washer fluid is heated. Theremaining cycles may take up to 20 seconds tooccur. The system determines the amount of fluidand activates the wipers. Slide and release theswitch again to cancel any remaining cycles.

(SensitivitySetting): Rotate thecontrol band up toone of the sensitivitylevels to activate theRainsense function.The wipers activatemore often as theband is rotatedupward.

(Washer Fluid): Pushthe paddle on top of themultifunction lever tospray washer fluid on thewindshield.

(Low): Rotatethe control band upto this position toturn the wipers onthe Low setting.

(Off): Rotate thecontrol band to thisposition to turn offthe wipers.

(Mist): Rotate thecontrol band down to this position to turn thewipers on for one wipe.

(High):Rotate thecontrol bandup to thisposition toturn thewipers on theHigh setting.

Automatic Lamp ControlYour vehicle is equipped with an Automatic Lamp Control system, which turnson the headlamps, and other exterior lamps and the instrument panel lights,at night or when necessary. The system’s light sensor is located on top of theinstrument panel. To ensure proper system operation, it’s important to avoidplacing any objects on or near the sensor.The exterior lamps also can be operated manually. The exterior lamp controlknob is located on the left side of the instrument panel.

D T SINTELLIBEAM AUTOMATICHEADLAMPS (IF EQUIPPED)and EXTERIOR LAMPCONTROLSIntelliBeam uses a digital lightsensor on the rearview mirror tomaximize forward night vision.The system automatically turns onthe high-beam headlamps when noother vehicle traffic is present, andswitches to low-beam intensitywhen the headlamps or taillampsof other vehicles are detected. Thesystem operates only when drivingover 20 mph.To turn on the system, pressand release the IntelliBeam (Auto)button on the inside rearviewmirror. The indicator light on themirror will illuminate. Additionally,enable the system by rotatingthe exterior lamp control knobto AUTO, with the turn signal/multifunction lever in its neutralposition. The Auto High Beamsalso must be selected under thepersonalization features of theDriver Information Center.To turn off the system, press andrelease the IntelliBeam (Auto)button on the mirror. The indicatorlight will turn off.

(Headlamps): Thisposition turns on theheadlamps, parking lamps,taillamps and instrumentpanel lights.

(ParkingLamps): Thisposition turnson the parkinglamps, taillampsand instrumentpanel lights.

(Fog Lamps): Pushin the knob to turn onthe fog lamps. Push itagain to turn off thefog lamps.

(On/Off): Thisposition turns off theexterior lamps exceptfor the DaytimeRunning Lamps.

AUTO (Automatic):This position turns onthe Automatic LampControl system.

POWER MIRRORSThe power mirror controls are located on the driver’s door.

(Mirror Adjustment): Press the control pad to move the mirror up, down, left, or right.

ULTRASONIC FRONT AND REAR PARK ASSIST(IF EQUIPPED)This feature uses ultrasonic sensors on the front andrear bumpers to help you avoid colliding with objectswhen parking the vehicle. It operates only at speedsless than 5 mph. The front parking assist display is located on top ofthe instrument panel to the right of the driver. Therear parkingassist displayis locatednear the rearwindow. Thelights on thedisplaysprovidedistance information. As the vehicle approaches anobject, the number of lights illuminated increases.High-toned beeps also play from the front speakers(for objects near the front bumper) and low-tonedbeeps play from the rear speakers (for objects near therear bumper).Be sure to keep the ultrasonic sensors on the vehicle’sbumpers clean to ensure proper operation.The system can be disabled using the DriverInformation Center.

(Foldaway Mirrors) (if equipped):Press the right side of this switch tofold the mirrors, and press the leftside of this switch to unfold themirrors.

(MirrorSelector): Pressthe left side ofthis switch toselect thedriver’s sidemirror or theright side of thisswitch to selectthe passenger’sside mirror.

Performance & MaintenanceSTABILITRAK® – STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEMStabiliTrak is an advanced computer-controlled vehiclestability enhancement system that assists with directionalcontrol of the vehicle in difficult driving conditions. It turnson automatically every time you start your vehicle. When the system senses adiscrepancy between yourintended path and thedirection the vehicle isactually traveling, itselectively applies brakepressure at any one of thewheels to help steer thevehicle in the direction inwhich you are steering. To limit wheelspin, youshould always leave the system on. If your vehicle becomesstuck and rocking the vehicle is required, the system shouldbe turned off.To turn off the system, press the Traction Control buttonlocated on the center console. For vehicles without a centerconsole, the button is located at the end of the gearshiftlever.

RESETTING THE OIL LIFE SYSTEMThe Oil Life System calculates engine oil lifebased on vehicle use and displays CHANGEENGINE OIL in the Driver Information Centerwhen it’s necessary to change your engine oil andfilter. The Oil Life System should be reset to 100%only following an oil change.To reset the Oil Life System:1. Turn the key to On, with the engine off.2. Press the (Vehicle Information) button until

the DIC displays ENGINE OIL LIFE.3. Press and hold the (Set/Reset) button until

100% ENGINE OIL LIFE is displayed.4. Turn the key to Off.
