THE TRIGGER TOPIC

ME

"someone who has a stake in the school-to-work transition". Ok, this is not the way to start, I'm a Spanish speaker and I don't get the topic because I don't understand English very well. @_@ > I asked my learning squad for opinion/ I asked my English teacher for opinion. MUCH BETTER, I get it now, ready to go!

EMPATHY MAP

I prepared interviews to guide the conversation. I chose two profiles to interview differently: two employers and two recently-graduated students looking for a job.

I did the interviews. I gained a lot insight to the topic. I recorded the interviews and then I wrote the interviews in a .rtf format.

EI tried to follow the assignment rubric as much as I could because I thought it would be extremely useful for me.

It took me some time to come up with the ideas and I wrote them on my notebook with my pen. It was awesome to put myself in the shoes of others. I created a mind map.

IDEA SELECTIONI was not very sure what should be the ideas I should go with.

I enjoyed a lot trying to organize the information so readers could get a nice approach to it and what I wanted to express with each idea.

I organized two different test sessions with two different people.

I recorded the sessions and took pictures.

I took notes during the test on the feedback grid provided by the course.

I wrote my reflections and conclusions.

I used my graphic skills to design the assignment.

It was the stage that took me more time to produce and reflect. Prototype and test were the stages I enjoyed the most and the ones that gave me a lot of feedback from the DTAction-Lab community.

I CAPTURED NEW IDEAS AND DECIDED WHAT TO DO IF I WOULD CONTINUED WORKING ON THIS PROJECT.

CONCLUSION.

As a conclusion, I can say I have gained a lot of knowledge by taking this e-learning course, I'm determined to be more enthusiastic about the things I do and take into account a more human approach to all the problems I face in life. I'm also determined to come up with a lot of ideas when trying to give an answer to a problem.

As for applying design thinking at home, I will be able to play, to experiment, to take my own home as a place where develop and apply ideas and solutions.

Regarding my role as a teacher at University, I think by applying design thinking my col-leagues and I will be able to keep creating a path in where a human centered approach and creative alternatives to solve problems will give our students a powerful tool to face real life problems in their professional lives and their lives as students. I hope we'll be able to apply radical methods that benefits the whole educational system and I hope our students enjoy this experience as much as we will.

As for my role as a designer at an IT company, I believe I could help and feel part of a team that can keep growing up with a clear direction. I hope we can start developing an experi-mental profile in an early stage and then spread the whole philosophy around the whole company, I think design thinking approach perfectly fits on this company's profile and per-spectives.

I hope the whole thing will allow me to collaborate with a little help with the industry, edu-cational system and community. I want to keep learning. And I don't want to stop doing.
