Ceramill Full Denture Workflow

The first digital inhouse workflow for full dentures - available only on Ceramill CAD/CAM.

Following the world first of the dry millable sinter metal Ceramill Sintron, Amann Girrbach once again revolutionises the indication range for laboratory in-house produced restorations and presents a completely continuous CAD/CAM workflow for the fabrication of full dentures up to the wax try-in. The new Ceramill Mind upgrade module Ceramill D-Flow enables Ceramill CAD/CAM users to plan full dentures virtually and fabricate the try-in CAD/CAM supported. During development of the software module Amann Girrbach always focussed on the entire workflow. Thus the software and hardware integrate seamlessly in the existing process chain and ensure that the time-consuming setting up process is shortened by approximately 60%. The digitisation of full dentures not only increases the efficiency but also provides more convenient working, for example due to the user-controlled model analysis, a basal adaptation of the teeth to the alveolar ridge at the press of a button or the automatic setting up of the teeth via the Best-Fit suggestion of the integrated tooth ranges. Setting up is implemented using conventional denture teeth of a well-known manufacturer (PALA from Heraeus Kulzer). The final result is reproducible, functional full dentures with a high degree of aesthetics and precision.

Amann Girrbach is, therefore, the first provider of a complete in-house process chain for full dentures with a wax base. This opens a further possibility for dental and practice laboratories to save time and increase value creation.

Back Quality Ergonomics

An ergonomic chair with an oblique seat part to sit more close to the patient or / and the microscope and with maximal back support.

Sitting in a healthy posture shows a trunk-knee angle (or angle between upper and lower legs) of 110° or more (hydraulic adjustable), so that a slight hollow curvature of the spine is obtained, comparable with a more standing position.

The backward rounding of the spine is avoided to prevent overloading.

To obtain a balanced sitting posture the seat bones rest on the horizontal part of the seat and the thighs on an oblique part.

The counter pressure of the oblique part is adjustable through a hydraulic button or mechanical button.

A black toothpaste that removes stains using activated carbon instead of by abrasion or chemical bleaching. How it works “This is a very old and proven method,” says Matthias Mütsch, Dr. sc. nat. ETH and developer of all Curaprox toothpastes. Activated carbon particles simply absorb dirt and discolouration particles “like a vacuum cleaner”. The RDA is correspondingly low – this is the measure for the abrasive effect of toothpastes: “The RDA is about 50, which is lower than in many normal toothpastes”. The CAD/CAM system from KaVo is now authorised to mill IPS e.max CAD blocks.

The CAD/CAM systems from KaVo are known for offering high precision and quality for the production of dental restorations. The partnership between Ivoclar Vivadent and KaVo looks back on a long-standing tradition. In addition to KaVo Everest, the KaVo Arctica CAD/CAM system has now been authorised to process IPS e.max CAD blocks.

The most recent software version allows the fabrication of veneers, inlays, onlays, crowns, bridges and copings. In view of the range of possible indications, the IPS e.max CAD for KaVo Arctica blocks are supplied in C14 (HT, LT, MO, Impulse), C16 and B32 (LT). In addition to the refills, an IPS e.max CAD for KaVo Arctica Basic Kit is available for both target groups (dentists, technicians).

Existing KaVo Everest users will also benefit from the new blocks due to the new CAM2 software and the specially developed gripping yoke. The existing KaVo Everest blocks will be discontinued at the end of February 2015.

Ivoclar Vivadent extends the range of press ingots to include a new level of translucency. The new IPS e.max Press MT are monochromatic ingots of the medium translucency range. They consist of the tried-and-tested lithium disilicate glass-ceramic material and ensure clinical long-term success and flexibility during cementation.

The new monochromatic lithium disilicate (LS2) ingots belong to the medium translucency (MT) range and close the gap between the proven HT and LT ingots. The MT ingots are intended for restorations requiring a significantly higher brightness level than HT restorations. Given their reduced chroma, these ingots offer room for creativity to individualise the cervical region of restorations and achieve a natural-looking transition between dentin and enamel. The ingots are available in two sizes in selected Bleach BL and A-D shades.
