STUDENT DRIVERS, STUDENT PASSENGERS AND NON ATTENDANCE TO SCHEDULED LESSONS Student Drivers Any student who drives a motor vehicle to or from school or uses a motor vehicle as part of their school day at any time, must have completed a “Student Driver Permission and Vehicle Information” form. This form must be signed by the Parent/Caregiver of the student and must include the names of any fellow students who travel as passengers in the student driven vehicle. Completed “Student Driver Permission and Vehicle Information” forms must be handed in to Mrs Kemp in the office in the Senior School (BF Floor). Students will receive a “Car Pass” which must be carried at all times, and produced when asked. Student Passengers Any student who wishes to travel in a motor vehicle driven by another student must completed the permission form, have it signed by their Parent/Caregiver, clearly stating that they have permission to travel with the student driver. The form should include the names of the student passenger, student driver and the registration number of the student driver’s vehicle. The form should be handed in at Mrs Kemp’s Office on the BF floor. Non-attendance to Scheduled lessons Any student who is found truanting from scheduled lessons and has left the school grounds without a signed note from parents, counter-signed by a member of the school staff, will immediately attract one of the following consequences; 3 days external suspension from school, or 15 hours school based Community Service Students, in consultation with their Parent/Caregiver, may choose which consequence they will accept. Any student who is found truanting from scheduled lessons, but has not left the school grounds will be given school based community service equal to the amount of missed lesson time. School based Community Service may be completed before school, after school, weekends or during holidays as per negotiation with the supervising member of staff.
