drive-in pallet
TRANSCRIPT
Drive-in Racking is a system where the pallet is supported on the edge of the
pallet and the Forklift Truck drives into the Pallet Racking. This is the best type of Rack available for a High-Density storage, where space is very limited and it is the best type to choose for seasonal stock that moves quickly.
DRIVE-IN
Double Entry Drive-in(LIFO)
Aceally Drive-in Pallet Racking is used where high-density storage is required. It is frequently used in facilities with a low number of product lines. It work on the FILO(first in last out)rule.
Drive-in racking is designed for high storage density without special pathway. The forklift would drive in the aisles when loading or picking pallets. Drive-in racking has good storage density , suitable for material warehouse or cycle warehouse with high efficiency or timely operation.
ADVANTAGES: High density storageLow stock rotationIdeal for cold and chill storage and bulk storage applicationsSuitable for easily damaged or fragile loads
The benefits of Drive-in rack system(A) over Selective pallet rack(B), in terms of needed space are shown in the diagram above.
In installtion A, (Drive-in system) 75% of the available floor is used for storage while with the Selective pallet rack installation, only 45% of the space is used for storage purposes.
