VEHICLE ACCIDENT PREVENTION SYSTEM EMBEDDED WITH ALCOHOL DETECTOR

ABSTRACTThe main aim of this project is to design an

embedded system for implementing a efficient alcohol detection system that will be useful to avoid accidents.

INTRODUCTION

Road accidents are a major problem.Most of the accidents are due to drunken driving.

The existing system is external system. The driver blow the device it find the drink or not.

The main reason for driving drunk is that the police are not able to check each and every car and even if they catch any one the police can be easily bribed.

So there is a need for an effective system to check drunken drivers.

EXISTING SYSTEM

PROPOSED SYSTEMThe proposed system has to create on effective alcohol

detector in vehicle. It is internal system to connect on the vehicle ignition

The “Alcohol Sensor” to check on driver is drink or not. If the driver is drink the vehicle is not started couldn’t moved and send the SMS on authorized person through GSM.

The Atmel AT89 series is an Intel 8051-compatible family of 8 bit microcontrollers manufactured by the Atmel Corporation.

ALCOHOL SENSORThis alcohol sensor is suitable for detecting alcohol

concentration.It has a high sensitivity and fast response time.The sensor needs 5V power supply to operate.

L293D IC (DC MOTOR DRIVER)

L293D motor driver will generate a signal to the converter of the circuit and thus controls the operation of both the DC motors M1 and M2.

GSM: SIM 900:It can accept commands from microcontroller UARTWorks on power supply It Can do basic functions which can be done via normal

phone like calling, send sms.
