Dring Cottage is a lovely detached character
cottage which dates in part to around 1790 with a
late 20th century extension to the rear to now form
a spacious family home. The cottage sits in a
generous plot with garden mainly to the side and
there is little passing traffic as the property is set
on a private lane off Greenhill Road close to
woodland and an area of outstanding natural
beauty (AONB).
A side door leads into the hallway, with tiled
flooring and exposed beams plus plenty of
storage. The sitting room is off to the left and is a
welcoming, light and bright room with an
inglenook fireplace housing a multi-fuel stove
and an attractive exposed beam.
Further along the hallway is the dining room,
again with an exposed beam and an aspect over
the front garden. To the right of the hallway is the
good sized kitchen/breakfast room, perfect for
informal eating and with ample units and a gas
fired Rayburn which is also responsible for the
heating and hot water. There is also a utility room
and downstairs cloakroom.
In addition to these main reception rooms, there is
also a study, which could equally serve as a
playroom.
Stairs from the hallway lead to the first floor
landing off which there are four bedrooms
including a master suite comprising large
bedroom, dressing area and ensuite shower room.
There is also a family bathroom.
