Hello everyone and welcome back to another school year! First of all, we would like to invite all of you to join us for an Open House to meet the school staff on Tuesday, September 18th, beginning at 6:00pm. In an effort to keep the lines of communication open between students, staff, parents and community members, DRHS has a new an improved school website which can be visited at: http://digbyregionalhigh.ednet.ns.ca/index.html. This website will be regularly updated and will provide parents and students with important information and dates throughout the entire school year. Many DRHS teachers are adding contact info and websites to the site as well. By clicking on the “Contact Us” tab of the website, you can view contact information for school staff. I would also like to remind both parents and students of the Paren/Student Portal, an invaluable communication tool allowing parents to track progress and attendance. Parent portal letters will be mailed out to parents and guardians of our new grade 7 students this month. Any parents or guardians who did not receive this information are invited to call the school and request that a letter be mailed out. We have also established the dates for formal communication of student achievement and progress. For senior high students (Grades 10-12), first semester In Danger of Failing letters will be mailed out during the week of October 15th. Mid-semester report cards will be given to students during the week of November 13th. Parent-teacher conferences will be held from 1:00pm-3:00pm and 6:00pm-8:00pm on November 22nd.
Welcome Back Mariners!

Parent-teacher conferences will be held on April 18th from 1:00pm-3:00pm and 6:00pm-8:00pm. Semester 2 final report cards will be distributed on June 28th, the last day of school. Please do not hesitate to contact us with questions and concerns. We want to encourage parent and community participation in our students’ academic progress. We look forward to seeing you and hearing from you as the school year progresses. Regards, Ben McNeil Vice-Principal

DRHS ALERGY ALERT Please be advised that several members of the DRHS school community have severe allergies to peanuts and/or shellfish. We are asking that staff, students and visitors refrain from bringing food items to DRHS that contain peanuts and shellfish. We would like to thank everyone in advance for their cooperation in this matter. We would also like to remind all members of the school community of the importance of limiting food to the cafeteria. It is all of our responsibilities to maintain the safe and positive learning environment at DRHS.
