Application seminars
Routine requires practice
Anyone wishing to be able to depend on their equipmentin a real-life operation must first be able to depend onthemselves. This requires routine, which in turn requirespractice.
This practice is exactly what you will get in our tried andtested application seminars. These training courses focuson a particular equipment group or are tailored to the specific needs of a group of people.
Understanding basic technical principles and modes of operation, selecting the device best-suited to the task in hand, learning about its possible uses, assessing situations and coordinating appropriate procedures –modern safety technology cannot be mastered with theoretical knowledge alone.
Our highly qualified trainers employ a useful combinationof theory and practice. This blend of knowledge and practical exercises ensures maximum safety in real life and may make the difference between life and death.
By immediately putting what you have just learnt into practice you can consolidate the knowledge and experience you have gained.
An essential part of the theoretical instruction we provideis of course to tell you about the relevant national laws and regulations which dictate how your equipment is used. For your own safety.
At the end of the seminar you will receive a certificate of attendance.

Realistic training forSCBA wearers
High temperatures, confined spaces, smoke everywhere – it is impossible to communicate on paperalone what a real-life mission will be like. It is far better to have experienced the situation for yourself, as you will then be better able to judge the danger. The Dräger Academy, in cooperation with fire brigades and industrial companies, has developed a series of training courses designed to prepare you for extreme situations in as realistic a way as possible.

Gas-fired fire training galleryTactical firefighting in the Fire Dragon
The participants learn how to deal with mission situations ina routine manner and consolidate their theoretical knowledge, for example about tactics, heat habituation and how theirprotective clothing will respond to heat and fire. A variety of fire rooms, fire seats and smoke-filled rooms simulate
real-life mission conditions. A flashover simulation is alsopossible. The exact course of the exercise and the objectivesare determined by the company renting the training gallery.A technical operator always comes along with the traininggallery and a trainer can be provided upon request.
Wood-fired fire training galleryFlashover training in the Fire Dragon
The trainer team teaches the theory and practice of howroom fires and flashover situations occur and can be tackled.Under safe and controlled conditions, participants can practise firefighting techniques, how to work as a team
with other crew members and how to assess risks andlaunch an inside attack. To ensure intensive support andsupervision throughout the exercise, two trainers from theDräger Academy are always provided.

Company hazard defence measures
Some hazardous situations only arise because people feel helpless and do not know how to tackle
them. Yet everyone can do their bit, no matter whether they are shop floor workers or top management.
The first few minutes in particular are crucial when it comes to minimising damage until the professional
emergency response crews arrive on scene. The Dräger Academy has designed special training
courses as a key part of company hazard defence.
