In this download, you’ll find three versions you can use with the same book.

VERSION 1: Print off and use the first version as an emergent reader. On the last page, children may like to add snowflake stickers.

VERSION 2: Read the text to your child one page at a time. Use the Winter Clothes Vocabulary cards to help him read the words. Cut and paste the correct picture to match the words on the page. On the last page, ask students to draw a picture of themselves playing in the snow. They may also like to add snowflake stickers.

VERSION 3: Display the Winter Clothes Vocabulary cards for students to see. They can use them to fill in the missing words and draw the pictures. On the last page, ask students to draw a picture of themselves playing in the snow. Snowflake stickers could also be added to the last page.This version could work well as a literacy center.

“Shape”manSize Sorting

Print on cardstock, cut out, and laminate if desired for durability.

Objectives:•Reviewing/learning shapes: circle, oval, square, rectangle, triangle, & hexagon•Sorting shapes by their shape and size

Students will sort the pieces by shape, then build each “shape”man on its appropriate mat (to save ink and paper, students can build snowmen without the mats). Students will place the big “shape”ball on the bottom, the medium-sized one in the middle, and the little one with the snowman face on top to create six different “shape”men.
