To promote healthy and safe learning environment To develop school to work transitional skills How does violation of dress code disrupt educational process?
Cause others to feel uncomfortable Distraction from the learning task on hand Offensive to others Create physical hindrance to participate in the learning activities How does violation of dress code cause safety issues?
Certain attire can result in injury to self or others (example: chains, sagging pants, spikes, gang related attire etc.) How does dress code help develop school to work transitional skills?
Appropriateness to fit the environment Modesty Personal hygiene NO (Straps are too narrow. No undergarment straps should be visible.) YES (Straps need to minimum 2 fingers wide.) No (Neckline too low) Yes No (Single strap) Yes (Halter tops or racer backs)
No (Halter tops or racer backs) Yes (Dresses should be mid-thigh length or longer.)

No hats during the school day. Only allowed before and after school, including the Pioneer baseball caps. No hats during lunch time, since the weather does not require hats outside any more. Consequences for dress code violations are outlined in the Pioneer Student Handbook.Please see page 11 for detail information regarding other dress code violations and consequences.
