Wengler was then known as the best wicker maker in Denmark and many, now famous, architects came to his workshop to learn. Among them were Arne Jacobsen, Viggo Boeson, Nanna & Jorgen Ditzel and Kay Bojesen.

Today R. Wengler stands as one of the pioneers in Rattan production. What he introduced to the craftsmanship and the way he challenged the material, made ground for the way we know rattan furniture today.

The Affaire Collection

The Avantgarde Collection

The Affaire Collection is a combination of rattan and «ÞÃÌÀ>`]>>>`iwLÀi]ÜVÃvÕÞÀiVÞV>Li°/iÃihandcrafted Affaire chairs and tables bring you back to the >ÌëiÀiv*>ÀÃV>vjviÌiÎä½Ã°

The collection is designed for upper end cafés, brasseries and restaurants in historical European cities and capitals. Affaire is >Ã>ii}>ÌVVivÀÀÛiÀ>½Ã>}Ü>ÌiÀvÀÌÃ>ÛiÀthe world or for the small balcony, where sweet nothings are whispered over coffee at the close of the day.

The Avantgarde Collection touches all characteristics of Scandinavian design, which makes it a timeless and sophisticated collection.

Avantgarde is maintenance free, weatherproof, washable and extremely durable. The collection is hand-woven using UV and temperature resistant Sika-Fibre on a strong hot-dip galvanized steel frame. The frame and Sika-Fibre are recyclable.

Athough Avantgarde is designed to handle outdoor extremes, the Scandinavian minimalist design is also perfect indoors. Many international hotels, restaurants as well as cruise liners around the world have already taken aboard the Avantgarde collection, with good reason.

His passion for design and love of leather led to many other new creations. In 1990 the Campomaggi brand was born with a collection of artisan bags, unique items with a weathered look. Bags which do not follow a seasonal trend, but are the expression of the passion of the designer for craftsmanship - everyday objects telling their story, increasing their value with new details day by day. Celebrity customers include Hillary Swank and Britney Spears.

Campomaggi bags are made with carefully chosen materials, ranging from leather to fabrics, metal details and studs. The natural cowhide leather is exclusively from Tuscany, in the heart of Italy. Proprietary, well researched, vegetal colouring agents are used for the washing procedure, allowing ÌiL>}ÃÌÀi>VÌi`iÃÀi`w>Ì«quality result.

Each hand processing the item, from stitching to polishing, from stud to crystalelement application, provides a personal feeling to each bag, creating unique products, increases value with the passing of time.

Campomaggi colours are the natural shades of the soil: cognac brown, dark brown, blue, black, and military green. The fabrics used, like linings, canvas and ropes, are 100% natural and ecocompatible. Each bag is individually garment dyed after it has been assembled.

Studs are a distinguishing element, broken metal, treated, cut and hammered by hand in order to obtain a unique result for each Ã}i`iÌ>°>«>}}½ÃL>}Ã>Àisometimes decorated with stones, crystals, and coloured stones.
