During the rule of the antichrist Roman Catholic

Government around 1500, Martin Luther, JohnCalvin, and others protested against the RomanCatholic Church/Government and began to rebel bystudying the scriptures for themselves. Lutherpublished the 95 Thesis which listed 95 ways thechurch was not in line with true scripture.

As they were being persecuted for not supporting theRoman Catholic way, they began to study the wordmore and more and they began to discover more andmore who Christ was and who Antichrist was. RalphWoodrow stated "There are 2 great truths thatstand out in the preaching that brought about the

protestant reformation: The just shall live byfaith, not by works of Romanism, and thePapacy is the Antichrist of Scripture.

The preaching of the truth will alwaystrump the lie eventually and it was nodifferent for the reformers. Just as Johnthe Baptist caused thousand of Jews towalk away from the corruption of thePharisees, and 11 men armed withthe truth of Jesus Christ turned theworld upside down, the truth thatthe reformers began to teachstirred up major controversyand issues for the Papacy ofRome. People began to seethem for the antichristthat they were once theygot a hold of the truthin scripture forthemselves.

Because of thepower of thepreaching by the

reformers andbecause theywere able to interpret biblical prophecy in real timeconcerning the antichrist, little horn, the beast andthe great whore, the enemy attacked them witheverything he had. Their followers were killed,tortured, burned, massacred, and constantly at warwith the papal government because of their beliefs.

In 1545 the counter reformation started and thecouncil of Trent was convened. This famous councilwas created to develop a strategy to counteract thereformers. The leaders of the vatican came together

and decided that instead of burning bibles and peopl

which only further made them look like antichrist,they would create a special militant operation thatwould do warfare on a much higher scale in the nameof the pope.

Ignatius of Loyola founded the Society of Jesus or theJesuits. This highly secretive and militant Catholicorder has been known throughout history as the mostwicked arm of the Roman Catholic Church. During th

council of Trent they decided to change theology andintroduce false end time doctrines and

interpretations of scripture to take the focus of th

antichrist offthe Papacy and place it in differenttimes of history.

Two Jesuit Priest were commissioned tocreate these false theories. Luis de Alcasar o

Seville and Francisco Ribera of Salamanca.Their basic strategy was diversion. If they

could divert the antichrist beast warningof Jesus, John, and Daniel to other tim

in history, it would cause the people tlabel the antichrist as something or

someone else other than the

current Papacy or Roman CatholChurch.

Alcasar put the bible'santichrist in the past, while

Ribera put the biblicalantichrist in the future.

Even though their viewscontradicted each othe

they became theofficial positions of

the roman catholicchurch.

The Jesuit Alcascreated the

Preterist method of interpretation to show theprophecies of antichrist were fulfilled before thePopes ever ruled Rome so the antichrist in scripturecould not be the papacy rule. And the Jesuit Riberacreated the futurist system which makes theprophecies refer to a future, supernatural individualwho will rule for 3 1/2 years after the church has beenraptured and before the second coming of Christ.Ribera even published a commentary on Revelationsto seal the deal.

PRETERISM Preterism is what Luis de Alcasartaught. Its prefix, pre, points back to the past.Preterism sees the majority(or all) of the propheciesfound in Matthew 24 and the Book of Revelation ashaving already been fulfilled in either the fall ofJerusalem in 70 A.D. or in the fall or Rome. Forpreterists, the end of the world usually means theend of the Jewish world. Traditionall-preteristsbelieve the second coming of Jesus Christ occurredin 70 A.D., whereas partial-preterists still believe ina future, literal return of the Savior. Concerning thecore issuewho is the antichrist?preteristsusually see the Roman Emperor Nero as thenumber-one candidate. Compared with futurismand historicism, preterism has always been aminority viewpoint within the church, yet it is nowmaking increased inroads into 21st century

Christianity. Preterism strategically removes thelittle horn! stigma away from the Vatican. Jesuitobjective achieved.

FUTURISM is what Francisco Ribera taught. Incontrast to preterism, futurism usually sees themajority of Revelations prophecies (from chapter 4onward) as yet on the horizon. Concerning theantichrist, instead of preterisms application to Neroin the past, futurism generally applies theprophecies of the little horn, the man of sin, andthe beast to a single, yet-future leader. Comparedto preterism and historicism, futurism is the most

common theory taught in protestant churchestoday. As with preterism, futurisms net result is thatit also significantly removes the idea of the beastbeing the papacy with the Jesuit objective achievedagain.

HISTORICISM is what the vast majority ofProtestants used to teach. In essence, historicismteaches straight-forward, chronological progressionby saying that the major prophecies of Daniel andRevelation find fulfillment throughout Christianhistory while pointing toward the climactic, visiblesecond coming of our Savior. Historicism also placesspecial emphasis on the ongoing struggle betweenJesus Christ and satan inside the Christian church.

Summary- Today, many of our current churches,

church systems and denominations have gone awayfrom biblical truths and are now under the authorityof the Roman Catholic Church either visibly or bydeed. This antichrist system controls governments,religions, and leaders from all walks of life and is stillthe richest and most powerful religious movementour world has seen. We must beware of end timelies and those that have submitted to the RomanCatholic Church. After all, if Catholicism isantichrist, then those that follow after her areguilty of betraying Jesus as well.
