How to PlayEach child stands behind a cone - they are now in a dragon team.

Teacher (Dragon Master) stands in front of the 2 lines of dragons.

Children practice the following movements: Tuck/Star/Stretch/Turn/1 leg balance

Ask a child to demonstrate each movement before the others practice

Dragon Master now calls out each shape at random the first child (dragon head) performs that

action and then follow down the dragon in sequence as quickly as possible, creating a Mexican

Wave (Week 1 activity).

Ask each team to try and think of other movements a dragon might make.

We would love to see your dragon dances share them with us @somschoolgames.

Even better with dragon props! Get Creative.

Dragon in the Den

Players line up 2 meters away from each other. 1 player is a dragonand the rest are hunters. The Dragon goes to sleep in the den (closes their eyes or faces away). The hunters must tip toe up to the den.If the Dragon hears a noise from the Dragon Slayers. It will wake upand roar! The hunters must freezeIf a hunter is caught moving they must return to the start. The first hunter to make it to the Dragons Den becomes the newdragon.

How should the huntersapproach the Dragon?

Instead of going back to thestart a hunter could completean exercise and then rejoin thegame.Don't feed any arguments, ifyou get caught you do getupset it is just for fun!
