Dragon Age Specialization Unlocking Guide by Kxizm

*--------------------*Im writing this faq because I got frustrated looking for how to unlockspecializations. I haven't found all of them, but I'll update this faq as Ifind them. This probably has a few spoilers in it, so be careful if you careabout that.*--------------------*

There are books scattered throughout the realm that can be bought that w

illunlock specializations. From what I've seen, they are about 15g apiece.

*---------------------* ALLIES*--------------------*You can learn the specializations of your allies if you put the work in fortheir attraction meter to be all the way on the right.

Spirit Healer: WynneShapeshifter: MorriganTemplar: AllisterBard: Lielana

Assassin: ZevranBerserker: Oghren

*---------------------* MAGE*---------------------*-----------Blood MageFind the blood mage specialization in Redcliffe Castle.Your character must be a mage to unlock this. When you have the choice, letJowan out of prison when you meet him in the dungeon. After you go through the

rest of the castle and fight in the main hall, you meet Jowan again. Heproposes to use blood magic to get another mage into the fayde. Your charactermust be the one to go into the fayde (not Morrigan, or any other mage in yourparty). You will meet the demon a few times before the final face-off. You'llknow because the demon will ask more involved questions. Encourage theconversation by saying you will listen to the proposal. The proposal will bethat the demon will leave as if defeated for a long time and then years fromnow will come back to reclaim the boy. In return the demon will reward you. Ifyou choose knowledge, you unlock the Blood Mage specialization! Congratz! Thefirst two abilities are subpar, but the last two are awesome!

the Dalish.In one of the rooms, you will find a phylactery that will communicate to youwhen you pick it up. Go through the conversation and ask to help him. If youask for a reward, he will show you how to specialize.--------------Shapeshifter

WARRIOR*---------------------*--------------Champion

Find the Champion specialization at Redcliffe.Save the Arl Eamon and choose to support Allister when he claims the throne tobecome the Champion of Redcliffe

Find the Reaver specialization in the mountaintop above Haven.**NOTE***To obtain this specialization, you will destroy

*Andraste's ashes. Anyone in your party who*reveres Androste (Allister, Leilana) will /HATE/*you if they are in the party when you do this.*You get one intimidate chance to keep Lielana*in the party (im only assuming the same from Allister)*If you remove her beforehand, you get the same chance*next time you go to camp.**Go through the ruined temple and into the caverns. When you eventually findKolgrim, agree to help him destroy the ashes. He will take you outside to seethe dragon. Go through the gauntlet, blah blah. When you go up to the urn, makesure to take a pinch of it first so you can heal the arl. When you pour theblood on the ashes, the Guardian will go ballistic and attack you. Two greater

shades will join the attack. If Leilana is in your party she will most likelyleave your party and turn on you, making a good 4 on 3 fight into a difficult 3on 4 fight. Once you beat the guardian, go back outside and Kolgrim will giveyou some wyvern blood to drink (whats with you and drinking blood, eh?) givingyou the knowledge of the ancestors and unlocking the Reaver specialization.--------------BeserkerChris emailed me and said that the dwarf in Denerim (im assuming the one in themarket that sells you armor [who sounds like Spike Spiegel!!]) will train youas a berserker after you have all 3 factions and are going to denim with Arl Eamon.--------------Templar

*-----------------* ROGUE*-----------------*----------Assassin----------DuelistThis specialization can be found in Denerim in the tavern there. You will see afight in the corner to the left from the door. Once the fight is done, you cantalk to the girl (don't remember her name). Ask if she can teach you, andshe'll say she needs to get to know you better first. She will challenge you toa game of cards, which she will win. Every time. Leilana was in my party andalerted me that the girl was probably cheating. No kidding. But she does sayshe will help you win. You should come out on top the next game and shell agreeto teach you about dueling.
