ConferencesThe 2007/2008 academic year was very eventful for the Department. It continued to play an active role inthe organization and delivery of the Roundtable Conferences sponsored by the Historical Society ofGhana to commemorate the Golden Jubilee Anniversary of Ghana's Independence.
The theme for the Roundtable Conferences was "Reflections on Fifty Years of Ghana's Independence:Interrogating the Past, Shaping the Future". Dr. W.J. Donkoh, Head of the Department of History andPolitical Studies presented a paper on the Progress Party (PP) Government during the RoundtableConference on "Good Governance: Institutional and Political Stability, Growth and Effectiveness" thattook place from 17th18th December 2007 at the Organization of African Trade Unions Unity (OATUU)conference Center in Accra.
