Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani, Zambia plans for a bio-ethanol plant

Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani, Zambia is planning to setup a bio-plant in Luapula Province.

The plant start its operations in 2017 and the proposed investment is about USD 190 million.

Sunbird Group and The Mahtani Group of Companies are the actual investors.

The development will bring a pool of employment opportunities for the locals as the factory would absorb about 7000 workers to manage its day to day work.

Cassava, a local crop, will be used as the basic input and hence, about 25000 farmers would be required to offer the required inputs to the factory.

The news has brought a lot of joy for the local residents as they will now by eyeing to find a stable job.

Luapula Province has often been seen as an underdeveloped region, but with this news of development, things will reflect a change.

Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani, Zambia is the visionary of this plan and has ensured that his contributions remain attached to Zambia.
