But why should WE do a science fair?

Because students discover talents through self-directed hands-on experience.

Why do a science fair?

Because math and science become REAL and IMPORTANT

when used to figure out answers to one’s own questions.

Thoughts …

Starting a science fair is NOT a cookie-cutter process. Do you want a:

1. Poster fair so kids think about STEM topics not in the curriculum?

2. Noncompetitive science fair with experiments & parent interviews?

3. Competitive science fair with actual judging? Don’t be nervous … these are doable, too!

Let’s look at options!

More thoughts …

Don’t be suckered in by vague memories of baking soda volcanoes in your past. Science fairs today are far more interesting even at the poster level!
