P-TECH Mission
• The mission of P-TECH is to provide an advanced and rigorous curriculum with a focus on Construction Technology, Construction Management, Architectural Design (AutoCAD), HVAC, Plumbing, Welding and Electrical.
• P-TECH offers a wide variety of opportunities for students. Whether a student plans to attend a four-year university, a two-year associate degree, Technical Certificate or enter the workforce after high school, P-TECH will provide them with the skills necessary to achieve their goals.

AUTOCAD• Computer drafting is the function of the design process which consist of the
preparation of engineering drawings utilizing CAD software.
• Computer drafting students are instructed in the fundamentals of modern drafting standards, practices, and procedures.
Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning(HVAC)
• Students will obtain a Laredo College HVAC Helper Certificate.• Students will learn how to install and troubleshoot split air
conditioning systems.
Welding• Students will have an opportunity to obtain a Laredo College Welding
Certificate. • Students may also obtain a NCCER Welding Certificate.• Students will learn proper welding techniques with concentrations in
oil and gas welding techniques.
Electrical• Students will have an opportunity to obtain a Laredo College Electrical
Helper Certificate.• Students may also obtain a NCCER Electrical Certificate.• Students will learn how to properly wire electrical circuits according
to the National Electrical Code standards.
Plumbing• Students will be able to receive a NCCER Plumbing Certificate.• Students will learn how to properly install and maintain systems used
for potable water, sewage and drainage in plumbing systems.
National Center for Construction Education and Research
• NCCER sets and maintains the global standard in construction training and certification.
• Because training is written to an industry standard and credentials are portable, learners who complete NCCER training are equipped to meet the labor demands of employers around the world, enhancing their employment opportunities.
• NCCER fall under the 73 Industry-Based certifications in the A-F Accountability System.
