Jordan has an area of about 91,900 square kilometers. It lies in the center of the Middle East. Jordan has barren deserts, fertile valleys, and colorful rock and sand mountains. It contains the lowest point on earth, the Dead Sea, and the Great Rift Valley. It also contains the most famous reminder of Jordan's past is undoubtedly Petra, the ancient city built by the Nabateans in the 6th century BC. The place is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Arab tradition in the region, you will find in Jordan, as the habits of generosity and good treatment for the guest, and treatment between persons, and others will not find a lot of difference between Jordan and other Arab countries, which distinguishes Jordan is the homogeneity and the merger between culture, the culture of the country Surrounding it, such as Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Palestine and Syria. Jordan has been home to a variety of civilizations stretching back thousands of years and it was once a crossroad of the most important trade routes in the world. Additionally, Jordan has a rich religious history for the world's three major religions, Christianity, Islam; where for each have important sites located within the country's borders. All of this makes Jordan a suitable place for truly walking in the footsteps of history. Jordan's political and social systems are a mix of new and old, traditional and non-‐traditional culture and social stratification.
