Ciao Italia, WestvilleTel 031 267 1762
CIAO ITALIA in Westville remains one of myfavourite ‘Italian’ restaurants.
It is our form of Italian fusion, taking Italiantraditional dishes and doing them in waysthat keep people coming back for more.
Since the days of Marco the non-racialteam of former employees, now owners, havecontinued to make a mark not only onresidents of Westville, but on the city at large.
I usually stick to the chicken dishes, butyou will not go wrong with their prawns, peppercorn fillet and the range of pastas andother dishes.
Certainly a great place, with a greatatmosphere.

WE DISCOVERED The Shilla, a new authenticKorean restaurant whilst leaving the movies, and I must say it was a real find. The best testis whether or not foreigners from homecountries visit restaurants claiming to be fromtheir country, and in this case be assured thatthis is authentic Korea. Serving the manyKorean and Japanese who visit our city, Koreanfood is quite different from Chinese and theypride themselves on fresh, wholesome andhealthy fare.
You sit at a table with your gas braais sothat you can cook your own food – somedishes allow you to cook the meat and thenwrap it in lettuce leaves with a sauce. Their pork dishes and many forms of beef, stews and lovely noodles will give you a verydifferent and enjoyable night out. Certainly aplace I will return to.

play hereTSUNAMI is the name that the beachdirectly in front of Addington Hospitalis affectionately referred to as, thanksto the strong winds associated with thearea. But this has not deterred revelersfrom descending on the area in droves.
On lazy Sunday afternoonsnumerous cars line up in the parkinglot where friends meet to throw a fewsteaks on the coals. This playgroundfor young people is testament to thefact that all you need is a few friendsand good food to enjoy a good time.

Send us a review of anything you love about our city e.g. a muffin atplace X or shopping at place Y. It has to be short and sweet and worth publishing. See details on contents page.
There are many great restaurants in Durban which providetheir own local twist on their international fare.
