-he above are statistical graphs gathered from the times of the previous five

administrations of -he 8hilippines. -he graphs portray the comparison of the literacy rate

(simple and functional) between males and females in the country as well as the $abor and

;mployment rate between the two. -he graphs gives us a good overview that women can

outperform men in the ac"uisition of both simple and functional literacyG a good portrayal of the

diligence of women in early school years, particularly primary and secondary levels. Despite the

advantage of women over men with regards to literacy, the $abor and ;mployment rates

however shows a sharp contrast over the aforementioned. s seen in the $abor and

;mployment graph, there is a significant gap between the two se!esG men generally dominate

the $abor and ;mployment sector in the country. 5omen can fare as well (or in some cases

better) as men, but regardless it is still a fact that they aren t as privileged to attain ?obs li#e men
